Ms. Pac Man doesn't do that actually (like Galaga does, I believe). I've played the game in many iterations over the years, from an untouched original arcade cabinet to modern arcades to all sorts of emulations - the only extra life is at the 10,000 point mark...which for better or worse, you can achieve on the first board, as it has a maximum of 14,600 point available.
