This was my first time using Staedtler pigment liners. I like the tips and control of the pens- great for small sizes, or whatever is appropriate for each tip. It's great they have so much variety in tip sizes. They don't bleed at all.

Pros: These are pens, and you can write with them. Cons: -The ink is not very pigmented, so they aren't really black. These are medium-dark gray. -The chisel tip one is TERRIBLE. Can't get it make a even line no matter what I try, the tip is shaped wrong. It's so bad that it's actually unusable. It's going straight in the trash. -The other two write normally, but aside from getting gray instead of black they're nothing special. Don't buy this set, the chisel tip really is trash. This brand used to made high quality pens, but these are mediocre at best. This isn't a brand I can trust anymore, this is the last thing I buy from them.

I may never buy another brand again. I’m not an artistic sort. So I don’t use them for drawing or sketching/whatever the cool cats call it. : ) I just use them for writing. I love the feel in my hand. I love the quality of the ink. Love the feel of the tip on paper. My hand writing is not, uhm, the best. My elementary school teachers tried to get me to hold the pencil “correctly” but failed, so my hand writing is a bit on the sloppy side. With these pens, my hand writing is so much better. I tend to lean towards fine pens because otherwise, the writing looks an even messier. The options available make me squee. These pens do not disappoint. If you are still reading this (lol), let me just say, I think you’ll enjoy your writing experience.

These have been excellent so far. My only complaint is that they do smudge a bit, which has made my work a little messier than usual. Bought them to replace a set from another brand that dried out quickly, so I’m hoping the ink in these will last with regular/heavy use.
