ASUS TUF Gaming B650-PLUS WiFi Motherboard Socket AMD AM5 (Ryzen 7000, ATX, PCIe 5.0, DDR5 Memory, 14 Power Stage, USB 3.1 Gen 2 x 2 Type-C, WiFi6, Aura Sync)

I don't know a lot about motherboards, but I got this one for my first build, and everything went smoothly

So I have always been a Gigabyte man, my Gigabyte had an issue so I decided to grab and ASUS to try while mine was off for warranty. I am a Tech by day in the repair industry for the past 20 years professionally I knew what I was likely to get. The last time I thought of doing this the board was DOA lol. Anyway the B650 is a good board, good features, the ASUS Crate software is good. The ASUS Boards are fast, they definitely push chips and ram faster then other makers. But my three main criticisms of this are three things. 1. It takes ALONG time to post, they have Fast Boot but a fat lot of good that does and sometimes typical ASUS it doesn't post at all. You have to walk up turn it off and back on again. Restarting Windows same deal it's a pot luck thing if it does restart and again takes forever to post. I will likely get rid of it for this reason. Gigabytes........ they just work. 2. I am not a big fan of the way it does things, really pushes the CPU on PBO compared to other boards? I kind of distrust ASUS given recent findings with them and AMD chips. 3. It's missing basics, password protected BIOS? Power on features you find in most Gigabyte ASROCK MSI etc.... and they have XMP or DCOP etc but on the "Basic Page" when you set it, it actually doesn't set the DEFAULT profile, it sets a customised one by ASUS. I found this caused my posting issue to be worse (hence how I worked it out). You have to go Advanced Settings and set XMP II or DOCP II to set your rams actual proper profile. I wish ASUS was better but the posting thing....... man it's been the same story with these guys forever. I'll probably put my Gigabyte back in when it gets back. Shame.

La placa ASUS TUF B650-PLUS WiFi me ha parecido una opción fantástica: Montaje sin problemas: Reconoció todos los componentes al primer intento, incluido un Ryzen 7800X3D. La BIOS es muy intuitiva. Conectividad completa: Tener WiFi 6 y 2.5G Ethernet por este precio es un lujo. ¡Funciona de maravilla! Buena refrigeración: Maneja sin problemas un procesador potente, y los disipadores son robustos. Calidad TUF: Se nota que está bien construida. Los conectores son firmes y todo tiene buena pinta. Después de una semana de uso, cero quejas. Es estable, rápida y tiene todo lo necesario. Si buscas una placa para AM5 que no te falle, esta es una muy buena opción. ¡Recomendada al 100%

Nice motherboard. Works fine with my 9700X and Crucial Pro RAM 32GB Kit (2x16GB) DDR5 5600MT/s, both also ordered at Amazon. I like the BIOS setup layout. Some people complain that the Wifi is not working and is not showing in windows. I had the same, downloaded the latest driver and run the AsusSetup executable but nothing happened. When you download an older driver version 6001.15.153.1 the AsusSetup works and Wifi is shown in windows.
