1/2" Turning Tool

I've been using these on 304 stainless, works pretty well. They've become my default turning insert style. I use a Grizzly 4003 lathe, entry level 240v type of lathe. No idea if these would be good on much bigger machines (or smaller).

I'm machining some 6" diameter 4000 series chrome moly steel disks and these cut very nicely, good value.

They are fine.

These are nice little boring bars for the price. They are decently rigid for what I'm doing. I just cut some 1045 steel with them and they work great! I definitely recomend these for the hobby machinist on a budget.

Great bit set, only drawback is the bit does sit perfectly straight in the lathe, so you cannot get the cut that is needed.

I received the cutters, used one today to cut steel and it surprised me for a Chinese cutter, it did a very good job.

Love these cutter holders however, when you break a cutter - and you will - the break damages the tool holder under the cutter. After breaking the first cutter it became all but impossible to keep a cutter from breaking.
