Surprisingly Sturdy and Super Convenient
I bought this truck bed tent for weekend camping trips and it’s quickly become one of my favorite pieces of gear. Setup was way easier than expected – took me about 15 minutes solo the first time, and even faster after that. The instructions were clear, and all the straps and poles felt high quality.Once it’s up, this tent is rock solid. We had a windy night out in the mountains and it didn’t budge or flap like crazy. The fit was snug on my full-size pickup (double-check the model fit!) and I loved being elevated off the ground – no mud, no bugs, and a much more level sleep.Zippers work smoothly, mesh windows offer great airflow, and there’s enough room to stretch out comfortably. We even fit a full-size air mattress inside with room for gear.If you’re on the fence about a truck bed tent, do it. This one’s sturdy, well-designed, and makes camping way more convenient. Just make sure you park on level ground or you’ll slide toward the cab all night. 😄

Better than I planned…no rain fly, no problem
I bought this tent for a 4 day camp out, last minute because it was inexpensive. It ended up being easy to set up, and have a ton of room inside. It didn’t have a rainfly, which was concerning, but the description said it didn’t need one.We had a freak downpour for about 30 minutes. I was sure it was going to leak with the amount of water, literally dumping, from the sky. To my surprise, not a drop of water inside! No rain fly and no problems. I don’t know how it would hold up to sustained rain, but it passed the test of a downpour for a short time. I was impressed.

More Than Expected
I ordered one of these for my son who was driving across the country. He had nothing but praise for this tent especially for how it handled several thunderstorms. He said not a drop of water got into the tent and that it handled the wind extremely well. These storms occurred on the plains of South Dakota and Wyoming without any trees nearby to break the wind. I was so impressed by his review that I ordered a second one for me. He uses his on a 1990 Jeep Comanche and i have mine on a 2021 Jeep Gladiator. The tent fits great on both vehicles with tons of room inside. I can't wait to use mine.

We were running out of oxygen AND soaked
Overall, for the price, it can serve its purpose well. ONLY if the weather allows you to sleep with the windows open through the night though. We just camped for 3 days in this in various states. Fit our 2500 Silverado perfectly. We were SO excited to sleep in this. Great room. Nice setup. Loved the little features it came with like tent pockets and a little clip for our lantern. We had high hopes. The number one thing that really limits how you can use this tent, is if you sleep with all the windows zipped, you could die. Truly. The first two nights my husband and I and our German shepherd woke up hypoxic and hyperventilating with raging headaches. The first night we assumed it was the altitude change, but the second night we were at a low altitude and the issue was even worse.Unlike most tents, this tent doesn’t need a rainfly because it is waterproof, but this plastic waterproof siding eliminates any air exchange. With 3 of us in the tent, the carbon dioxide build up halfway through the night was severe. Maybe if it was just one set of lungs, it would have been okay, so I’ll give the manufacturers that. This first night, we had the windows zipped to keep out the cold wind, SO much condensation built up on the inner tent walls everything in the tent became wet. This was with a low of just 53 degrees and low humidity of 35%. Extremely difficult to dry the inside of this tent out, and it will be very wet every morning. Our second night we had a five hour heavy rainstorm so we had the windows zipped again and woke up having to choose between breathing and letting more water into the tent. Also around 1am, water ended up dripping into our face nonstop from the top peak of the tent and all of our bedding and clothing became soaked…. So maybe not 100% waterproof in a real rainstorm… we should have had a tarp, but also that storm wasn’t supposed to pass over where we were so we decided to count on the tent’s waterproofing.I would honestly choose a different truck bed tent that isn’t waterproof and has a separate rainfly so you can get some air exchange and not suck in your own carbon dioxide all night.Don’t give yourself brain damage in this tent to save $ like we did.

Loved the Concept
This tent is a really cool concept, but if you are short, difficult to assemble. The instructions say to try assembling on the ground if doing it directly in the truck does not work. We tried both ways. Neiter were much easier than the other but on the truck, instructions did make the tent lay out smoother. When it came to standing it upright on the truck, it definitely needs two people. The biggest disappointment were the rods or polls that hold up the end umbrella portion. The way it was designed makes sense if the poles were to be put into the ground. But these were not long enough to go into the ground so the rest on the rear of the truck tailgate. This scratched the crap out of the new plastic liner of the tailgate. The opening of the tent needs to be a bit bigger or longer or something. The tent really got stretched at the seams putting it up. We are in our 50's and that was way more work than any tent we have ever owned. But it did look cool. Oh, and don't forget to bring a step to get up in the tent, we used the cooler.
