Comfortable, stylish, and warm
I was pleasantly surprised how comfortable these shoes were compared to my last popular brand of snow shoes. I bought one size up based on advice I saw online. Probably could’ve been ok with my normal size (7) but the cushioning has a lot of give so it’s super comfy either way. There was no need to break them in - I slid my feet right in and went for a long walk and it was like walking on clouds. I love the draw string feature to prevent snow from sneaking in. The style is cute too - love them with my jeans. I live in a cold climate and am looking forward to wearing these quite a bit. Hopefully they’ll last for several seasons.

Not Completely Waterproof, Run Large, Heavy
I'll address 3 main aspects here: Size, Waterproof and Weight of boots. I searched high and low for good waterproof boots to wear in slushy snow or when the snow melts into puddles and at first I was hopeful these would do the trick, since the base of the boot is rubber. However, I've worn them a few times since I bought them in the slushy, melted snow weather and they have leaked water into the boots. I'm returning them. Very disappointed, haven't been able to find anything else yet.If you are going to buy these boots, know they do run larger; I normally wear a size 7 and I got a size 8 and they fit well. It's worth noting that I contacted Baffin themselves to get that answer; the retailer that sells them here on Amazon told me they run true to size. They are also very heavy boots, heavier than typical boots. They were fairly comfortable to wear, especially with the thick fabric "bootie" that comes inside, which you can take out if you want, but that will leave little cushion inside, FYI.

They run small
They run really small. I think I’m gonna love them. They looks like they’re good quality. I haven’t worn them enough to tell you yet if they’re waterproof, I’ve had bad luck in the past with other brands saying they’re waterproof, but they’re not. They’re obviously gonna be warm enough.

Good value but order 2 sizes up
Buy 2 sizes up if narrow feet, maybe 3 if wide feet. I’m an 8 but bought a size 10 which I never do. I just received these boots today and they fit like an 8. My toes have some room with 1 pair of socks on. Look for yourself in the picture (the sneakers are an 8). They are lightweight and comfortable, the few minutes I had them on so far. But the top part of the boot is fabric and not waterproof. Only the bottom “foot bed” is waterproof - per the info received with the boot.

Great lightweight and warm winter boots
I normally wear a size 9 shoe and ordered these in a size 10, which fit great. They were even a bit tight at first before I "broke them in". I therefore rated the fit as "somewhat small" as I am fairly confident that my regular size (9) would have been too small. So far I have worn these boots ice fishing, snowmobiling, and hiking, and they have held up admirably. My feet only got slightly cold while ice fishing, when I was basically sitting still for 3+ hours. My feet never overheated while snow hiking or while wearing the boots indoors for an hour or two. My only negative comment would be that the main drawstring to tighten the boot around your foot/ankle is somewhat difficult to adjust tightly, and when tightened I needed to tuck the extra cording at the end in the side of the boot in order to avoid stepping or tripping on it. However, I have been comfortable without tightening the boots very much - I leave the drawstring at a point which allows me to slip in and out of the boots easily without readjustment. These are by far the lightest and least "clunky" winter boots I have owned, much easier to walk in than my old Sorels. I would say that they have a similarly sized "footprint" as my regular summer hiking boots. These boots are also extremely comfortable - the liners are very soft and eliminate any possibility of a blister forming from rubbing against a hard edge. The liners are easily removable for drying, although they can be tricky to re-insert in the original position. I found it easiest to put the liner on my foot and then boot the boot on and wiggle my foot around until it felt right.

ORDER A SIZE UP,,,, / WANTED THESE A LONG TIME, THEY ARE JUST WHAT I EXPECTED,, GREAT BOOTS
I wear a size 8,, (very occasionally a 8.5) but mostly 8,,,,, i ordered a 9. glad i did. THESE ARE THE SERIOUS BOOTS I NEEDED, I DON'T LIKE HEAVY BOOTS,,, SO I DID NOT ORDER THE -140 degree style. If these cause any cold.. i WILL consider it though,,, THese are the Lightest Boots that will cover -40. I ordered the white and black, i like them. THey still have Some Style. I kind of look like a character on SouthPark when i try them on,, LOL... My daughter cracked up,,, BUT when it turns COLD here in NORTHERN, NORTHERN New England,, I will have a better chance. The worst i can remember is -30. One of our pipes burst (that never, ever happened in 25 years of living here),,,, It was awful. it was spraying into the basement so hard,,, it was impossible to get near the shut off... I was just BLESSED im in a small town and the water company came rushing over with tools to turn the whole thing off. Obviously that stuck with me, and i began a search for Super Arctic, FULLY waterproof boots, I tested them,, they are good, (sorry im tired wrirting this),, the way you can close the top,,, All the features i wanted,,,, just get a pair, i paid $103. because the prices change daily on amazon... Good luck,,, i think they are running out fast, i wanted the pink/black ones,, but bummer! none in my size.
