Best cookware I've ever had
I have never had cookware this excellent. I had the big pan solo and when it was time to replace my cookware there was no other choice. I use spray and hand wash. Easy cleaning and nothing ever sticks. Lids go in oven with the pans. Stove top or oven use. Love them.

Wonderful! ... but for one flaw
UPDATE after one year: These pans are great. I've used some of them literally every day and they look and work as well as the day I received them. I got past being bugged by the small flaw on one of them, mentioned below. The finish on these has held up one-hundred percent. Sure, there's a tiny bit of a tendency to stick, but they clean up extremely well. I've resorted to using a little bit of spray-on dish soap with some baking soda and 50% vinegar/water on them a few times after an especially messy stir fry session. They have cleaned up spotless and seriously like the day I bought them. If I posted pictures today and when I bought them, you would never see the difference. I even cooked one for quite some time with no water, something has ruined pans in the past. This one took it like a champ. They're a bit lightweight, but the heat distribution is pretty good. I've been using them with a glass-top electric range, if that's any help. I've put back the star I took off originally. I think these deserve it. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I'll start off by saying I really, really like this set of cookware. I'll also say that Blue Diamond customer service is responsive and professional. However, I can't help but take a star off due to a little bit of damage in the arrived product. I discovered four small dents in the cooking surface of the 9.5" frying pan. They won't affect the performance, but I can't help being just a little bit bugged every time I see them. In the hope of not having to return the whole set I reached out to Blue Diamond customer service. They responded quickly asking for photos and order details. However, ultimately, they declined to replace just the one piece. Sure, I could have returned the whole set no questions asked but have decided not to do that. So I'm writing this to say 1) This is a really, really nice set, and 2) Check everything very, very carefully on receipt. Other than this small disappointment, I'm very very happy with the purchase. I just need to get over my OCD until such time as I bang the darn things up enough myself to no longer notice this.

Great starter cookware set for budding chefs
The chief and laudable feature of the Blue Diamond cookware set is its non-stick surface and, secondly among all its pieces is its light weight. For, and with this manufactured process, one may stovetop bake. Caution is to maintain low flame temperature, else half-way through the baking time be prepared necessarily to 'flip' the product baking; otherwise, may a thick lacquered charcoal bottom result. Another baking method that completely avoids any charred bottom crust is and in a bain marie to steam the baked good. While steaming does take longer for the product to cook, this method is equally effective as convection oven baking. The only different, of course is the lack of a browned top crust. Therefore, and for the more appealing browned top crust, one may wish to experiment with 'flipping' the product. / One other aspect to this cookware set is the 2 utensils included. Although very light and perhaps, also flimsy yet in design -in particular- the spatula- actually 'fits' the fry pan and skillet, facilitating use.

This Cookware Holds Up to the Hype
Why did you pick this product vs others?: I love this cookware set more than any set I've had so far! Normally I don't buy in to the hype of name brand items (my Pioneer Woman skillet isn't that old and already losing its coating), but I feel Blue Diamond really does provide most of what it claims. The nonstick coating is amazing! Most of the time I cook with a little bit of oil or butter, but even without anything like that, not much food is left behind, if any. Cleanup is so easy which is high in my list of important factors because I hate doing the dishes. They say they're dishwasher safe, but I haven't tried that yet because so far all that's needed is just a quick, gentle swipe with a soft sponge and it's ready to go again! I do feel like they heat up faster and cook more evenly than other pans I've used. I haven't noticed any warp of the base yet either, and I've even put one in the oven to bake a frittata and it turned out great with no damage to the pan, just as claimed. That being said, there a couple things I've had problems with. While amazing, the coating isn't quite as scratch resistant as I've been told. In the product video, they portray that it's safe to use metal utensils. I'm not sure if it was my whisk or which utensil, but one of my skillets already has a couple scratches in it - and I've only been using them about 6 months (see pic). Maybe there was a weak spot in the coating on the set I got...? Also, the metal handles are sturdy, but they get very hot (especially the lids), even with simple everyday cooking (not slow cooking or baking in the oven). It would be nice if they had some sort of silicone coating or something, but then I suppose maybe they wouldn't be as oven-safe. At any rate, I still love this set and feel it is well worth the money! I will keep my eye on this brand for further cooking needs.

bummer
Unfortunately, this cookware is not everything a girl could dream for. Full disclosure – I’m not a cook/chef by any stretch. I hate cooking. I’m one of those people who eat to live, rather than live to eat. As such, I’m more interested in the nutrition of my food than doing complicated, fatty-but-delicious stuff. So I wanted a nonstick cookware set to minimize the oil in my food, clean-up is easy, and I don’t have to treat it with kid gloves. I watched a very entertaining youtube video that featured a review of this, that convinced me this was the set I had been searching for. (Spoiler alert: it’s not. Maybe.) I tested the skillet last night. -First thing I noticed is that it’s very light weight, at least compared to my calphalon set I’ve had for over 20 years that needs replacing. For me, this is a good thing. For people who are “real cooks”, I gather they value having heavy cookware. I don’t know (or care) why. I put it on the gas burner, and maybe 20 seconds or so later I spooned some minced out-of-the-jar garlic into it. -I don’t know if this is a pro or a con, but the pan heated up VERY fast. I didn’t add any oil, except that the garlic-in-a-jar is floating in oil. -The garlic stuck after a few seconds. Using the spatula thingy that came with the set, I wasn’t able to dislodge it I added a bag of broccoli slaw on top. -With the liquid coming out of the veg, it was easier, but not 100%, to scrape the stuck-on garlic off the bottom. I drizzled some soy sauce on after a couple of minutes -Now nothing stuck to the bottom any more, and everything mixed in together nicely. -In that minute or two, the handle heated up beyond being able to hold onto it. After all was said and done, and I waited long enough for the handle to cool down so I could pick it up to wash it, it cleaned up very easily. No rubbing or scrubbing. So I guess beyond the initial panic with the garlic sticking, it ended up being pretty impressively non-stick, but maybe only because of the nature of what I added in there on top. On the con side, the handle got so hot I had to get out my oven mitt. Do I want to add to the inconvenience of cooking by having to have that kind of extra stuff on hand? No. Am I being unrealistic in hoping there’s such a thing as a perfectly non-stick pan whose handle doesn’t preclude actually using the dang thing? I don’t know. I’m very on-the-fence about whether this set is a keeper. I thought about getting one of the copper ones for comparison but reviewers on those say their handles heat up too, and the finish wears off. And even the youtube reviewer said the handles on these look identical to the handles on the copper ones, like they’re made by the same manufacturer. …and…wouldn’t ya know. Apparently there’s such a thing as pot handle covers you can buy (other companies? Who knows if they really are). Maybe I’ll go that route. And people wonder why I hate cooking…

Good Quality
I purchased two sets of these to replace my old pots/pans. They seem to have a very good quality. I had to order an additional large pot and a larger pan because some items were smaller than I expected. I ordered the same brand name though because I like the quality.
