Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 & Premiere Elements 2018 [PC Download]

Great products. I downloaded v16 of both Adobe products. Easy install (Win 10). Extraction and installation had no hiccups. This review is not for Advanced amateurs and pros using top-shelf processing software..I've been using Corel AfterShot Pro (Corel AfterShot Pro 3 Photo Editing Software for PC and Movavi Video Suite 16 ]. Corel had plenty of power to edit RAW and save to JPEG, but was very difficult to use and I had to keep referring to the manual—offering headaches in the process. Ditto for Movavi. So, I decided to try different products and I downloaded a trial version of Photoshop Elements from the Adobe site..After experimenting for about 30 minutes, and reading the manual for about 30 minutes, I was hooked. The adobe software, like all high-quality multi-media editing software like Photoshop, DxO, GIMP v2.10 (Open Source) make you pay a big learning curve for use, but I’m sure that folks that use all of the major features regularly have no difficulties. I wanted to crank the effort curve down a few notches..What I found. This “lighter” version, Photoshop Elements, has an easy mode---that is really straightforward and makes sense after a few attempts and now is actually easy (I do use a wide variety of software) and, it works great! The helper mode (Guided Edits is step-by-step instruction with auto-linking within the program) and of course an expert mode fills out the program. Saving to JPEG format allows a variety of compression/quality settings. KUDOS..These same 3 difficultly-level elements are in Adobe Premiere Elements (for Video) and are likewise user friendly, well thought out, and offer plenty of power for me. I’ve used the Guided Edits and Expert modes in both programs and they are not too difficult to understand and implement. A little more difficult for movies, but I was able to delete audio, insert a sound track, and put an introductory screen at the beginning—without cracking the manual. KUDOS.I bought the package license from Amazon (Adobe Photoshop Elements 2018 & Premiere Elements 2018, both v16, for $50 Less than purchasing separately). Great purchase!.CAMERA. I use the Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II (a bridge-category camera with a 1" sensor). Most photos are exceptional after minor/or no adjustments and 16:9 cropping. But because I occasionally shoot a picture with issues, I have the Camera set for Only RAW, so that I can (1) use the data to make otherwise impossible adjustments and save the picture; and (2) make smaller, but High-Quality JPEGS..Although the camera can process RAW and/or make JPEGs (or RAW+JPEG), the JPEG Size is huge=about 9000kbs. I Found by using after-the-fact software, and processing outside of the camera myself (crop/make any minor adjustments) I can then save a High Quality-Medium compression JPEG and retain a very detailed photo quality for printing up to 10X12, or for viewing on a 40” 16:9 TV. They look great--and most of the Adobe JPEGs run only about 1000-1500kb per JPEG photo--a great storage size for great photos..(NOTE: The Canon camera conversion saves JPEGS at about 9000kb per photo, and look fav, BUT, you destroy photo quality when trying to make smaller sized JPEG or outputs (using any software I’ve tried) when saving from the Large Canon-camera JPEG.) The attached Photo is a ZOOMed photo; cropped to 16:9; and saved in High Quality, Medium size = 1098kb.

I'm new to the action cam world. I did spend a significant amount of time working with the software provided by camera's manufacturer (in this case Sony). While the included software was adequate for a home user looking for elementary features, I was looking for more. APE 2018 provides various levels of complexity and allows the user to grow from a beginning to advance stage without frustration of jumping into a pro features.

Photoshop elements is great, it does everything my old copy of Photoshop 7 does and more. I wish it has a batch mode like Photoshop 7. That's the reason I take off 1 star.Sorry, I haven't tried Premier yet.

I downloaded this program on a different laptop, originally. I then re-downloaded it on my current laptop, without any problems. I had a problem that caused me to reload windows 10, which required me to re-install all of my downloaded programs. This is when I started having problems. I keep getting the message that a portion of it could not be installed, which is causing it to stall on the initializing media core. I have checked the FAQs, tried all of the suggestions, fully uninstalled previous tries, and tried moving my pictures (temporarily to the cloud and zipped it). Nothing works, except temporarily (sometimes). The last resort given is to contact the software publisher customer service, which the links always direct me to a page in Amazon.com that doesn't have the contact information. UGH!I checked the log link, but it says the page does not exist.

Ordered and download flawlessly. The install took quite a while but the product keys were nicely placed in a text file so I could copy and paste it as needed. During the install it did stop and say that a restart was in progress. I simply clicked IGNORE and it worked wonderfully. I've been restoring images from slides taking over 50 years ago. Works as advertised. I am very pleased.

My 10 years old son, want to learn video editing, so he ask me to get this for him, and he is doing great work for his age, editing video games videos, and family vacations video, I'm really happy this product is easy for him to use, with the help of youtube tutorial videos, he is leaning a lot.

Stay away if you have any Photoshop experience. I recently let my Adobe monthly subscription lapse in favor of the Elements version having read it has most of the essential mainstream capabilities of regular Photoshop. The interface is childish and lacks most regularly used functions. If basic color correction, exposure adjustment and cropping meets your needs then go ahead and get it. Any more sophisticated use is crippled or missing. I only wish I could return it.....

You are basically buying a very limited editing software program that locks the better features behind an expensive subscription based pay model. You can do very little in this suite for that you can't get for free somewhere else. Save your money and find an alternative elsewhere.
