Stinky. Use outside. Works great.
We have a Miele vacuum cord that is damaged in several spots (electrical tape did not work to repair) and the cord on our Nespresso machine got melted through to the wires (no damage to the wires) this product repaired both cords to safe protection and function. Several thin coats are needed but well worth the purchase.

Works as advertised; “Gloppy”; Tips for Using
I bought this because I had several cords, ranging from ipad charging cables to the cord for my electric razor to the cord on the vacuum cleaner, whose insulation had become brittle and was cracked and/or missing. While not visually restoring the insulation to a “like new” condition, it does do a great job repairing the insulation and, in my opinion, looks and works better than electrical tape, especially if additional build up would interfere with using something like a cord clip/hook on an appliance. While it dries or sets fairly quickly (you can safely apply additional coats, if needed, after ~5-10 minutes, the product is somewhat “gloppy” and it will run or drip before it dries sufficiently that it won’t. When completely dry, it does seem to be fairly flexible. Based on my experience, I would suggest the following: - Suspend the cord/cable horizontally and then watch for and remove any drips until it sets. If the repair is being made near the plug/connector, hanging the cord vertically could cause the product to pool excessively at the plug. - Put plastic or paper below the cord to protect the floor or work surface from any drips from the brush or the cord. - If using the brush attached to the lid, clean the product off the stem first so that you don’t have more product than you want running down the stem and onto the brush. - Be sure to clean any material off the threads of the can and the can lid before closing the can. - Instead of using the brush attached to the lid, consider using a separate brush, like a small acid brush, and wiping any excess on that brush off on an old soup can instead of the threaded edge of the product’s can. Overall, this product worked great for my applications and exceeded my expectations.

Handy, needs thinner for prolonged use life.
This stuff works pretty good, but it is tear off-able after it dries. It is mostly useful to aid in waterproofing when using other insulation like shrink tubing or when you cannot use shrink tubing. You can use if over improvised shrink tubing that is actually wrap from those rip off plastic labels like kefir has, or with electrical tape to seal things up more waterproof and prevent edges from lifting. It does dry up, well before you finish using it, but I had a quart of Crown Pro Thinner (this stuff will melt plastics) around for Barge cement and I poured some into the can and the next time I used it, the stuff was back to perfect consistancy. It will last if you seal the lid with teflon tape and put it in a plastic bag and have appropriate thinner.

Saved my trailer chord.
Bought this thinking I could save a starting-to-fray trailer connection chord, and it did. For whatever reason my dump trailer connector worked away from the 7 gang wire chord right at the connector. No way to rework it as it was welded at the factory. After cleaning everything with Acetone, I filled in the gaps with this product, giving it a couple healthy coats and I’ll tell you what…it saved the chord and connector. It is tough, looks like new and is flexible enough to handle the shaking and movement when hauling stuff. You know tape works but unravels over time…this won’t. I’m sure this will come in handy for chaffed wire, splices or other hard to reach electrical repair work in the future. Good product.

I really like this product but the cap is not air tight and thus less usable product
For what I use this for it's a 4 to 5 star product. The only similar product I've found is rated for a lower maximum temperature. That said I'm never able to use a little more than half of it before it dries enough in the bottle to become unusable. The cap simply does not seal well enough and it's very apparent by the strong odor. I've purchased this 4 times. The first bottle I didn't do anything extraordinary to seal it other than making certain the cap was secured after each use. I suspect I used 25% of the bottle. After that I saved the packing and, after each use, I used heavy duty clear plastic tape to seal it, completely around the perimeter, in the original package. That extended the usable life of the product but I still couldn't use 50% of the product before it became too viscous to apply. I finally found plastic pickle relish jar with a rubber seal. The package fits inside the plastic jar but with of course some air around it. That has allowed me to use about 50 to 60% of it and the additional plastic bottle perfectly seals the smell. I'm now looking for an inexpensive, air tight container, opaque (in case UV may impact life) to transfer the contents into. It is relatively thin but I normally use it under heat shrink without adhesive on the shrink wrap itself (adhesive lined shrink wrap is often low temperature and difficult to find in a long roll and I use a lot of heat shrink). It's extremely frustrating because I love the product but I hate paying for 2 to 4 times what I can use and I hate filling a landfill with the product I'm unable to use.
