Can I refrigerate this palm oil?

Absolutely, you may refrigerate this Palm Oil. It will become harder (more solid).

Essential Depot's Palm Oil is gluten-free.

Do I need to melt the bucket of palm oil before using?

Just scoop out the amount you will need and then melt it along with your other oils.

For my cp soap, do i need to melt the whole bucket before measuring the amount i need?

If you live in an area where it's not too cold the palm oil will actually stay pretty soft so it's easy to scoop out what you need. Even if it does get solid I've never had it get as hard as say coconut oil. I've never had to melt the whole bucket. I just scoop out what I need with a rubber spatula and weigh it.

Best product!

Texture is typical of Shea, and so it still has its integrity. Seal is perfectly tight. Melts quickly and thoroughly. Cost was right in my budget. Use this for anything like soaps, lip balms and body butters.

Mind the tub integrity…good containers are not invincible.

This is a packaging comment: inspect for cracks before melting in the container and use a secondary containment vessel. My tub had an impact crack and started leaking. I do not blame the company for this issue, am just mentioning to let others know to be watchful.I just made my soap so cannot comment on product quality except to say it melted clear and was odorless; I’m sure it will work perfectly and I would purchase this item again.

DO NOT order in warm or hot weather!

Do not order during warm/hot weather.It's tightly packaged by the company but the oil leaks out of container anyway. It is a mess to clean up. 😬 I put it in the refrigerator to get solid again but still a mess to deal with.The container is oily on the outside. The protective plastic bag catches most of the oil but everything is a greasy/oily mess.Not the company's fault. The product is good. I've ordered it 3-4 times.
