Why is the lens milky? does the milky lens make a narrow angle of light for the wall like the clear lens or is it a mistake?

It diffuses the light pretty well which is why it's milky. It's not completely diffused but it looks pretty good to me. The only issue I had with them is it seems the end caps do not fit well.

you need the channels to be able to slip the covers into something - I used this system on a floating shelf- I routered a spot for channels in shelf, result was couldn't see channels and made for an integrated look
