Ka-Bar 4062GY, Dozier Folding Hunter, Gray, Black Clip, Straight Edge

I have bought multiple kabar doziers, also been testing them for years now. It's a good knife if your on a budget without sacrificing quality. They come in many different colors and the best part is they are reliable! The 3 inch blade is legal in my state but I encourage you to check your state laws before purchasing. The Aus 8 steel keeps an edge fairly well and sharpens with ease using a simple ceramic rod. The zytel handle provides enough traction to use even when wet yet it doesn't chew up your hand. Another plus about the kabar dozier is that you can switch the pocket clip and thumb stud to either side using a torx 6 and 8 bit. The pocket clip is tight enough to keep it in the pocket but not so tight that it tears up the pocket fabric. You can't go wrong with this purchase.

No it is not a flipper. No it is not a tool for prying, hammering our using as a pick. What it is is a great little in pocket slicer and dicer for all those small tasks you need done. Being a lock back it is very secure. Smooth operation. Solid click that locks into place. Blade is just a bit beefier than other knives in this size range. Very light weight. Hides in your pocket well. I am such a fan of this little knife that I bought three of them! Note that the only blades that are not black are on the blue and black handled ones. I now have the blue, tan, and grey knives.

These are very sturdy knives made with good cutlery steel (I used an Olympus X-ray fluorescence metal analyzer at work), and they are a good value.

The price is great. After inspecting the knife and lubing it up I realized the hardware could be swapped to the other side if you have the correct torx bits. I'm left handed and bought this knife expecting to just have to suffer. This is an awesome discovery. Everything works great swapped over as god intended.

Great lock back knife. You could say for the money but it's just a great knife. Razor sharp and very tough. It's my edc work knife. Survived as a cutting tool/ pry bar. Kidding a lil but I do push this knife. Takes a sharp edge. It's made in Taiwan but it is a legit Ka-bar. Just the contract for dozier knives went to Taiwan.

The build is great. Very tight. Very light. Wish it had a finger guard. The blade was extremely dull out of the box. Had it a few weeks, sharpening it here and there, it's getting better.

Great everyday carry knife. Cheap enough that it doesn't sting much if lost, but enough quality to last many years.

With all the knifes I've owned I've never had one this dull right out of the box. It has no edge whatsoever. It would have a hard time cutting butter. Soft butter. It's so dull that I'm thinking it must have skipped some steps in the assembly/QC process. Maybe it was made on a payday Friday afternoon or handled by a disgruntled employee. It feels like a joke was played on me.
