Reasonable quality for the money. However they do the job

Able to hold a drawing pen. Solid made and securely holds a set measurement.

Knocked a star because i had to pvc tape the attachment arm to stop it from budging ever so slightly, while drawing large circles, but now its perfect and I love it.

This item is very poor quality as the adjustment wheel and arm threads are made of plastic. The adjustment wheel became loose on the shaft and the threads on the arm stripped on one side. It's a shame that the usual quality STAEDTLER brand put their name to this produce. I returned the item and purchased a 552 01 which is the all metal version.

Absolute rubbish, pin keeps moving, every use requires re-adjustment. Tired of using after 30 min. Now in the bin. Don’t waste your money

I ordered this compass as a trusted brand - first mistake. Compass came quickly but upon opening realized the arm lock was broken so couldn't draw a concise circle ( the whole purpose of a compass!). So I put it down to bad luck and ordered a replacement. This came the next day - fantastic service. But the first time I used it the very same arm lock broke on the new one. Pathetic. The materials are cheap and to break on first use is unbelievable. I promptly ordered a refund and will not be touching staedtler with a barge pole in future!

Quality of the product is lacking. The quick release bar is slightly bent, I can straighten it up. The finish on the compass is found wanting. IF it were not for my sons maths exam for next week, I would have returned it for a full refund.Staedtler, you can do better.
