Great bang for your buck
I bought this back in 2021 when I got back into running. It has lasted well over 1000 miles in heat, rain, and snow (and sweat). It fits better than a Nike armband I bought for twice the price. The touch screen is accessible, as it has an open design, but it won't protect your phone from the elements because of it. I have had zero issues up until recently. The armband has lost some of its stretchiness (after 4 years!), so I'll need to buy a new one in the near future. Overall, a fantastic value for my money.

Works great with the iPhone XS Max!
I recently upgraded to the iPhone XS Max, and because of the larger phone, needed a new armband for workouts in the gym, walking and biking. Was set on getting the more traditional armband when I stumbled on this, while searching here on Amazon. Overall, it's a great armband. When it first arrived, I was a little concerned because it seemed a little flimsy, just by it's design...It's a soft but back plate with a neoprene band attached. Once the phone is in, and it's on my arm though, those concerns went away. It pretty much stays put once the band it tightened, even with a large phone like the iPhone XS Max. The great thing about this design, is it allows full access for face ID and swiping up from the bottom of the phone. Keep in mind, this mounting plate doesn't rotate, it's fixed vertically...But at least when you do want to use the phone, you just remove it from your arm, but the plate and band are out of the way so the phone is usable in a pinch...If there are two things I would recommend though, for any future versions is a wider band, just to add even more stability. The other is more important and a concern...The way the band attaches to the "plate" and wraps around your arm. You basically pull the band over and then down on one side to secure the band. The issues I can see with this, is if you have it tight, and flex your arm, I mean really, really flex it, there is, like any velcro based armband, a chance for the band to come loose.. With it under a lot of tension, the band can even slip all the way out of the connectors on each side of the plate, and the whole armband will fall off. They need to at least and some kind of "stopper", stitched on one end of the band, that would stop the band from completely coming loose and stop the band from coming off. I haven't had this issue but I can see if you primarily do weight and strength conditioning, were you are flexing your arm muscles, this could be a concern. This has never happened to me while in the gym, but once and awhile, when I'm done working out, I'll pull the band to release it, and if I don't have a good grip, the band will, from the tension of being around my arm, pull back once released and pull it's self off...letting the whole band and phone slip down my arm. Luckily, I've caught in time, but like I mentioned, I can see for some, it could be an issue...

Great until it breaks!
I love this product when it is working correctly. It is comfortable and holds the phone securely. It also provides easy access to your phone. I have owned five or six of these and the problem is that after several months of use the rubber straps that hold the phone on the corner will break. I’ve had this happen on every single one I have had. I have learned that it can be repaired with a simple, thick rubber band and I’ve included the photos to show my repair. This works well.

Great armband but not durable
I just returned a similar armband because the straps holding the phone in place completely covered the camera at the top of the screen and the swipe bar at the bottom. I've used this armband for about 10 runs. The armband is designed so that both the camera and swipe bar on my iPhone 12 are accessible. Buttons on the side of the phone are also accessible. Extremely light weight and unobtrusive. Phone fits in securely. Not sure how some reviews indicated that the phone fell out. May not have been strapped in properly or had one extremely active workout. For running it feels very secure. It does sag a little on longer runs but can be easily tightened during the run. After the run it is nice to be able to remove the strap so that you can lay it out to dry. Only issue is face recognition really can't be used when phone is strapped to upper arm. But that would be the true for any upper arm band.Update: have had armband for nearly 2 years. As seen in the pictures the strap is coming apart making it difficult to thread through the armband. It was still usable though And I was about to purchase additional straps. Today as I was putting my phone in the armband I noticed a tear in a strap that holds the phone (see photo). I couldn’t risk the phone falling out on my run so I ran without it and will need to replace the armband. While this has been a fantastic armband I’m not sure I want to replace it every 2 years.

Comfy but a bit jiggly
I have had this about 3 months now--during which time I have averaged about 10-15 miles a week running. The softness of the plastic agains the skin is a plus. Compared to my old arm band with a plastic sheath, the four-corner grip and open design has made the screen more easily accessible and the runs more fun, as I can mess with the music more feely. The only downside is that it is a big jiggly and would perhaps benefit from a wider band. The jiggling puts stress on the velcro, which seems to be aging quickly. The velcro has never released while running, but a couple of times, when standing still and switching play lists, I twisted the phone slightly to see it better and the the velcro popped loose--causing the phone to sort of spring off my arm (luckily, straight into my hand). Based on this, I estimate this arm band has a life span of about 500 miles. A huge improvement from the sheath design (or pockets), but wish the arm band was wider and/or the velcro stronger.
