A truly record-breaking recording: Anne-Sophie Mutter’s reading of Vivaldi’s Four Seasons, conducted by the man who discovered her, Herbert von Karajan, was the first classical CD to go platinum. And to this day, its legendary status remains untarnished.

Great LP shame about the packaging
The is not a review of the album but about the packaging, or lack of, instead. I was not impressed that the album, instead of coming in cardboard boxes with the usual filling to stop it being damaged in transit, just arrived in it's clear plastic casing with the address label stuck on the front.

Warped vinyl.
The vinyl was warped and the cover bent. I don't know if this was a production, storage or delivery issue but I couldn't risk damaging the stylus and needle. As a result of the warp the sound was poor.
