I’ll be honest, I was hesitant when the Pomodoro system and this timer were first recommended to me. I figured, why not just use the clock app on my phone or the built-in Windows timer? But I gave the Ticktime TK3 a shot, and I’m glad I did. It’s not just another timer, it was the physical nudge I needed toward building better habits.I found the built-in Pomodoro mode to be especially well done, once I got used to it. The four automatic cycles of 25-minute work followed by 5-minute breaks. There's no way to pause the timer in this mode, which seemed like a drawback at first, but in practice it’s actually part of the Pomodoro philosophy. The goal is sustained, focused bursts cycles, and this timer gently enforces that discipline. For someone like me with ADHD, that structure has genuinely helped. I’ve found myself avoiding going down rabbit holes and changing focus on what I’m working on in set intervals. And maybe more importantly for me, remembering to get up, move, and stretch.Visually, the LED display is clear and crisp, and I love that it doubles as a minimalist desk clock when idle. But what really hooked me is the tactile experience. There’s something about flipping the cube to start preset timers—whether 5, 10, 30, or 60 minutes—that feels oddly satisfying and helps me stay on track. I actually look forward to taking breaks and shifting project tasks. Creating custom countdowns (like my go-to 20-minute sessions) is easy once you’ve done it once or twice. It takes a moment to learn, but the interface is intuitive. The manual covers everything you need, though I found the product video even more helpful as a visual learner.The size is just right. It’s compact, fits comfortably in the palm of my hand when flipping, and looks great on my desk. The little retro charging base adds a stylish touch, and the whole setup feels thoughtfully designed—not overengineered, not barebones, just effective

The good / cool:- The 4 buttons on the base don't serve any real functional purpose, but has a tactile button providing a very satisfying click and are different colors from one another- Very well tuned device: the gyroscope within the cube works very well, you flip to any of the sides and it sets a timer, pauses, resets, etc. Also has vibration or can play the sound out loud- I mostly use this as a clock for my desk. It also tells you date and day of the weekAreas that need improvement:- The plastic used on this is the worst part about it. It gives a very cheap feeling, which would be okay if it was cheaper, but at $60 its not exactly cheap- The charging pins for the base and the cube aren't the easiest thing to line up. There is a small raised portion of the base to line up with the recessed charging port on the cube, but it's not easy to do without looking at it from the back because the pins stick out. A magnet or something would really help line it up better.
