Very pleased with this purchase. I researched several sites, brands, and styles including cedar with metal roofs. I wanted long lasting low maintenance aluminum and this is all aluminum. It arrived in (3) boxes. With 1.5 helpers we assembled it in 4 hours. It appears to be very solid. The louver operation is smooth and I selected this one (10'x10') because it had continuous louver. I wondered how the rain drainage would work and sure enough it works! The louver close with a lip over the adjacent and we sat under it in a decent rain and stayed dry. Water "bounced" or blew into us from the sides but the louver top was waterproof.There were a couple of minor issues but for the price, delivery to my driveway on a pallet I believe it earns 5 stars. There were a few pieces of metal that were slightly bent. Using pliers (and large channel lock on the large piece) was able to straighten them out. Nothing that is visible or "deal breaker" that I would have requested replacement part for. (We did have some plastic caps that were broken but they responded quickly and they're on the way).One of the louvers had some scratches where the white paint was missing but a $5 can of rustoleum paint and no one can tell. They were on the top of the louvers so no one will ever see them anyway.We haven't installed the screen or walls yet. Those are "bonus" in my opinion as I wanted it for shade that I could open up when desired. The mechanism is smooth and I believe it will serve us well for years!The assembly instructions are all pictorial but they were easy to follow. Definitely need 2 helpers to steady and install. I've attached photos but don't let the bent rail turn you off. With large channel locks I straightened it out and it's not structural but cosmetic. I doubt anyone could even tell this was ever bent now that it's assembled.I've had this now for several storms and I'm loving it!! I didn't "anchor" it to my deck but I will. With the louvers closed it moved a little bit from the winds. The deck is elevated so that's understandable. We've enjoyed sitting out in heavy rain and we've stayed dry. I realized how smart the design it - the louvers have a slight pitch to drain water to one side where it runs into the frame and then down the posts. Very pleased with this purchase. The design and quality look like we'll get years of enjoyment from this.

*** Very Important ***The #1 reason we selected this pergola (10x20 in black) was the overall height. Comparing to other pergola's that looked just like this one, we noticed that almost all others were only 6 feet in height, which is crazy low. This one was 8 feet. Please pay attention to the dimensions when choosing a pergola. Anyone over 5'11 would have to duck under and not stand up, unless they choose one with 8ft height clearance.Assembly was simple, but time consuming, about a full 8 hour day to assemble and then a few hours the next day to put up the curtains and netting. Instructions were very good, but there was no guidance for the curtains and netting so we put them up wrong twice before we figured it out. There are two tracks, the inside track is for the netting and the outside is for the curtains.The other reviewer that shared pics complained about zipping the curtains and netting and needing a ladder every time, but if you look at our pics you'll see that you don't.We have hung out under the pergola in the downpouring rain. The built in gutter system works wonderfully. If the rain is coming in on an angle and the curtains are open, you'll still get wet, but otherwise, it's amazing.We cannot say enough good things about the pergola. The only disappointment with everything was the hand cranks to open and close the louvers (this size comes with 2) were missing. The manufacturer shipped them to us a couple of weeks later, but in the meantime we bought some from Amazon that we liked more than the ones that came with it.We live in a very snowy state so we'll see how we'll it holds up to the elements, but so far, we love it!

The pergola is quite good for the price. I wish the curtain and zippers were made better and higher quality.

The package came in four long boxes with the instructions hidden in one. Once we found them, it was pretty easy to follow along.It took two of us about 6-8 hours to fully assemble it. Unfortunately the zippers for the curtains are all at the top, so you need a ladder every time you want to close them.Fingers crossed it lasts many years.

For the price points, weather resistance, sturdy build and netting/curtain accessories built in plus the functionality of the roof: these won us over while shopping for Pergolas. We paid a 2 person team $80 an hour to put it together. From start to completion, including clean up, it took 5 hours at a slow pace. I highly recommend this Pergola.1
