Yeah, so far so good with this product. I had warned my wife about how to be sure to take care of her power cord and not to tightly bend the cabling, but eventually she broke the wires within the Dell power supply, causing the need for me to find a replacement.I don't remember how much a name-brand replacement was going to be, but I just remember deciding we were going to have to go the way of the off-brand.The biggest reason I chose this one is that the brand name is flat out stated on the power supply, and wasn't trying to be too sneaky compaired to other companies with trying to look like a Dell brand. I figured anyone willing just come right out and state they weren't Dell, had at least some belief in their product.So far, over the last few months of everday use, it's been great. I don't have any real measurements to verify this claim, but I don't think it gets as hot as Dell's model.We use it on a Dell Inspiron 1545.

Very impressed with this non-oem adapter. I was afraid to go with something that wasn't oem Dell, but so far I actually like it *better* than the Dell unit. It charged my completely dead battery extremely fast without getting hot like the oem Dell adapter did. I also like how this adapter's power cord is straight, and doesn't make a 180 degree turn like the Dell one did. This gives it a bit more length, and takes the stress off the power cord when stretched out. Another reviewer commented on the fit quality of the power plug (computer end) and mine fits exactly like the Dell plug did. I'm very happy with this purchase.My only issue was with seller PWR+. I'm an Amazon Prime member, and get 2 Day shipping for free, but needed this charger asap so I paid an extra $3.99 for Next Day Air, but when I received the package, the shipping label revealed that they sent it via 2 Day Air anyway. I contacted Amazon, and they refunded the extra shipping charge, so all is well.

The Pwr+ Dell-compatible Replacement Adapter fits my needs very well. I originally wanted a Dell product but found mediocre reviews at higher prices. A previous compatible adapter I tried the connecting wires were so stiff that they frayed and became dangerous within two weeks of purchase.This Pwr+ Ac Adapter is in constant use since there is no battery on my laptop. The connection fits well in the octagonal port and the extra long cord is very convenient. Considering that this adapter is always on, the "Brick" or power portion stays pretty cool-- getting warm only occasionally. The only reason I did not give 5 stars was a 2-prong version was shipped instead of the 3-prong adapter pictured - however Customer Service quickly shipped the correct product and I am pleased with its performance.

However, the product delivered. I had some issues with the initial adapter (not being able to charge my laptop) but they issued me another one. The reason why I'm giving this a 3 star rating was the fact that I had to return the defective adapter in order to receive a new one thus, putting me out of commission with my computer for about two weeks. It was a bit inconvenient being that I had nothing to power my laptop (although it was charging my battery, it still kept my computer on). Other than that, the new adapter works great and I have no complaints.

I would not recommend this product/company to anyone. You can't trust the reviews on this product due to the tactics of the seller. I recieved at bad power supply. I know this with out a doubt becuase my laptop works fine with the OEM power supply. After I posted an orginal comment of the bad product I was contacted by the seller and told they would offer a full refund. I thought OK great their customer service is doing the right. After I agreed they told me I would have to delete my comments/post. The comments are important to me when I buy a product. If they are engaged in buying off of realistic comments then I can't trust this company/product at all. Who knows how many people have had bad experiences/products but then deleted them? I shop on Amazon for saving time and headache. This has not been my experience with this seller.
