Amazing product. Easy to apply and practically turned sand into stone. A little expensive, but worth it!

We used this joint stabilizing sealer to re-seal our travertine pavers patio. We used this same product the first time we sealed the patio and it worked very well. It has a natural sheen which we prefer over an enhanced color. Also, it makes the sand joint harden like cement, preventing sand from being washed out and preventing weed/moss from growing. This is a great sealer and we will use it again in the future to re-seal. Very easy to apply (we used a microfiber cloth paint roller). Of note, we have regular paver sand for the joints (not polymeric sand). We feel that it is so much easier to use paver sand then lock it in using this stabilizing sealer than applying the more expensive and messy polymeric sand for the joints.

I've used this twice with polymeric sand (Dominator). I spray it on.I've tested polymeric sand with only water and then with SB1300. I placed sand in a tray and poured some water in one corner and the SB product in the other. I waited about 48 hours and lifted the sand out to break in my hand. The SB sample was MUCH harder to break. It definitely creates a strong bond with the sand. I did not test it with regular sand - i guess i should have thought to do that.The first time I used this sealer/stabilizer was about 9 months ago. It is still in great shape.The sand color I use is natural and it did turn the color a tiny bit darker (slightly more than water changing the color), but worth it.I have also tested the limits of the product by using it with tile that is mortared to concrete and it looks like grout. The tile spacing is narrow and shallow - it has preformed well on 400 square feet. I also have sand filled drainage cracks and this product let the water drain.My first attempt was polymeric sand was with water only, and some sand washed away, enough so i had to add more sand. Adding the sealer/stabilizer made all the difference. It wintered well - i do not see any chunks that have come out.The sealer turned the tile a strange color at first, but dried clear. The brick project took the sealer well too.Overall, a great product. Good luck!Update - a couple of years later - still looking new! Holding strong!

After many years of use and hard rain, our paved driveway has finally given way to lose pavers. We pressure-washed the entire surface to remove old sand and sealer, and then replaced the sand with Sakrete Permasand, and then resealed. A week after the sand and sealer were cured, we drove and parked our car on the driveway. The first thing we noticed was that there were one particular area where the sand has worked loose and these pavers are moving. It was very frustrating to find this, because we made sure to compact in the new sand, water it as instructed, and sealed it. So this area of about 10 ft x 15 ft had to be redone, which also presented a very challenging repair work because there is no way for us to get all of the polymeric sand out of the paver grooves. If the sand is not removed completely, the joints will fail again. After much research and reading, we decided against using polymeric sand and just to use plain fine sand to refill the grooves with SB-1300 as stabilizer joint sealer. This turned out to be the right call. The fine sand made its way down the tiny cracks caused by left over polymeric sand, and it fills up every groove including gaps underneath the pavers. Without adding SB-1300, we found that pavers have solid footing and they don't move. Once we added the SB-1300, and allowed it to cured per instruction, the repair work was a complete success. In a few days after, the filled in fine sand was harder than the polymeric sand with sealer. In fact, this area is now the strongest area out of the entire driveway because we can still hear cracking in paver joints in some other areas of the driveway. Unfortunately, we anticipate that these crackling areas will eventually give in shortly.Now that the repair was done, hindsight is that we should just re-sand the entire driveway with fine sand, which by the way is 1/4 the cost of the polymeric sand. Also fine washed sand comes in 50-lbs bag versus polymeric sand comes in 40-lbs bucket. Material wise, it would have save us so much work and expense. It was so much easier to sweep in fine sand than to work with polymeric sand. Blowing off excess sand was noted to be less dusty as well. Followed the sweeped-in sand with SB-1300 stabilizing sealer would have been so so so much cheaper and easier as well compare to surface sealer.In conclusion, if you're installing pavers, do yourself a favor and read-up on the pros and cons of polymeric sand. I will not use polymeric sand ever again! Instead, fine washed sand and SB-1300 stabilizing joint sealer will be my go-to material. I am hoping that this resurface driveway holds up for a few more years, but at least, I now have a plan for fixing it in the future. Good luck with your project, and God Speed!

Great paver sealer. I have tried many sealers in the past and the SEK Surebond is by far a superior product. Very durable. Follow directions given and you will not have any problems. Paver sand stays in place by using this product - pavers will not get loose or shift. Highly recommend SEK Surebond.

Great stuff! I’ve used this on several different paver projects around my home. It holds the sand between interlocking pavers BETTER THAN POLYMERIC SAND! In fact, after I applied polymeric sand to the pavers around our pool, the sand was coming onto the deck after rain or hosing down the area. A follow up application of this product now holds the seams together. On more recent paver projects I’ve had great results with using play sand to fill between the pavers, and then using the Sure Bond 1300 to bond the sand in place. And it costs less than buying polymeric sand.I have purchased this on several occasions, first retail, but more recently through Amazon. Usually no problems with shipping. Today an order for three gallons arrived, and one leaked a couple tablespoons worth. I tried to advise Amazon of the issue, to avoid future messes for them, but I could not find a way to notify Amazon except through a product review. Occasional problem, but one they need to know about.
