I thought the price was good and from the picture it looked like a good kid dress up hat. It was so much better than it looked. Really great quality for such a reasonable price. This growing kid will be able to wear this awesome hat for a long time to come.

I wear a 7 1/2 in a fitted hat (Stetson cowboy hat, wool baseball cap) but that wasn't a selection, so I ordered a 7 5/8, figuring too loose is better than too tight. The hat is not actually sized to 7 5/8, though. I received an XL. That's okay, it fits about like I would expect a 7 5/8 to fit on me, and it will work. I have an oblong head, so most hats are tight front and back and a little loose on the sides, until it conforms to my head shape. This hat still fits pretty snug front and back, but there is more room on the sides than I'm used to with a 7 1/2. It has the feel of a quality heavy felt hat. It was packed 3 boxes deep: a hat box, inside a close-fitting box, inside a slightly larger Amazon box with a little cushioning. Though the hat box showed some evidence of squishing, the hat seems to be in good shape. I'd say the purple color was pretty close to what I viewed on my PC monitor and phone screen.

I usually don't write reviews, but this item along with the seller deserve major praise. I was looking for a Red Top Hat and while this is a bit more pricey than other costume hats, this does not seem to me to be a costume type hat, but a regular hat. It's true, you do get what you pay for, or in this case, actually more than you pay for. I did actually measure my head and matched up the measurement to their size chart. It was spot on size wise. The quality seems to quite good. Nothing faded or torn, no loose threads, very uniform in color and texture, inside has a nice satin lining, the inside also has a nice band of vinyl?. The exterior brim is crisp and even, the exterior surrounding ribbon/feather is a nice touch. The hat is actually heavy when you first pick it up. It does not look or feel cheap at all. The height is exactly as described by the seller. In my pictures, I put a soda bottle next to it and a dollar bill on top so you can get an idea of the size. BTW, dollar bills are always 6 1/8 inches wide.The seller wrapped the hat in plastic and then double boxed it to protect it from dust and being crushed. Done the proper way.I paid full retail price for this hat and have no affiliation with the seller. Highly recommend.After Halloween, I'm sure I can come with other appropriate times to wear such a nice distinct Red Top Hat.

Absolutely love this hat. Wore it to a wedding and got tons of compliments on it! It was a showstopper!Was worried about the price, but this is a completely professional top hat, not one made cheaply for a costume. It might be the most professional/sturdy hat I have ever bought. It comes in a great, lined hat box and does not have any weird smell or anything when unpackaging. The color in the image is true to the color of the hat. It was a little bit bigger in height and a little more tapered at the top than I expected. I expect to keep this hat forever and it feels sturdy enough to do so.This is definitely a hat that can wear you, if you know what I mean, if you don't have the personality to pull it off!!

Great top hat, really nice quality, especially for costume use, which is what I have planned for it. I have a huge head, usually a 7 5/8 hat size. The XL size fits me slightly snug, but not sure if it will stretch over time. Even if it doesn't, this hat fits well enough to wear for special occasions throughout the year. My biggest concern was if it would be cheap and flimsy or of tough quality. It is very tough and durable, I think it will do fine over many years of use.

I wish all of my online purchases were as satisfying as this one. The quality is well beyond my expectations, even though it already has great reviews which helped sway me to purchase it over others I had been looking at. This is not a toy hat. It is nice!!! The sizing is spot-on. It's like I had it custom made for me. I have an oval head and most hats will have too much pressure on my forehead. Not this one. It's an even fit all the way around. Very nice packaging and it arrived quick!! This company gets it right!
