Ancient Graffiti Large 7-Stone Natural River Stone Cairn, 11 inches

This is a nice edition to my rock garden.

Clever "statuary" for noting decades of an enduring relationship, balancing all factors of life imagery.

This cairn is the perfect addition for indoor or outdoor decorating. It is small but adds a 3 dimensional touch to your desired area and is very well made, heavier than you might expect and smooth to the touch.

My sister had the 7 piece stone at her house- I LOVED it! So I ordered one for our place. I ordered the 5 piece stone. It's beautiful, however the base of the stone is chipped. This did not happen when shipped because I couldn't find the missing chip, so it must have been sent that way. Also, even though it's held together by a metal wire (very secure), it appears as though it is also hot glued! Not sure why, I had to remove hot glue from the top 2 stones because it looked sloppy. I probably should have returned, it but didn't want to go through the hassle, I put the chipped part towards the wall. It is a very nice piece aside from that.

I've got several of these placed carefully around the exterior of my home and noticed that someone liked them enough to steal one! I ordered a replacement and the one I received was actually even better looking and sturdier than one someone stole! While I don't think they're a bad deal for the price, I have found these cheaper from time to time at local garden shops or places like Marshall's/Home Goods/TJMaxx or Ross.

Terrible quality. It is literally stones stacked on a rod and connected with hot glue. Thus, it's no surprise that it arrived broken - the hot glue failed and separated some of the rocks, so they just ended up sliding. Plus, as a result, it exposed the rod and ruined the illusion. Returned.

These stone cairns evoke memories of Scotland where they were and still are sometimes piled for directional markers. My grandfather used to do this in his garden and at the edge of the front steps as a memory of his Scottish boyhood. He also considered them good luck - the right direction on your journey. They are also used by the Inuit and in Tibet. They are a distinctive and nice decoration for your garden.These are made well, but the size is going to vary with the size of the rocks. Mine is 7 ½" high and 3 ½" in diameter. The rocks are drilled and then piled on a metal rod. They are heavy, as rocks are, but you can take them off the rod and rearrange them if you would so desire.
