Technically speaking the maximum loading capacity claimed by our chair is 225lbs; however, our experience shows us that the chair can still hold the weight of 250lb or little above pretty well. The stability of the chair could still be kept under such weight, so your son feels free to try our chair.

The fabric is called MicroFiber, and we suggest spot clean and air dry.

As long as you follow the steps on assembling instruction, there will be no issue regarding the stability regardless of how many times you repeat the assembling or disassembling. By the way we recommend user to keep the assembling instruction as well as the corresponding hardware.
