Writing this review after using the product for more than 2 years. The legs never remain straight, it takes long time to get the ball heads lined up so I never bother anymore. Its good for phone but now that the alignment of the legs is no more straight I hesitate to mount my DSLR as it always topples down. The threads on the top mount have started wearing out again leaving the mounted device slightly loose. If you want to give it a try and money is not an issue then go for it, but probably you could try a cheaper product.

Good Product

I made a decision to buy this after close to a months research. I never knew it's worth till I actually used it. Now photography has just been to a next level, be it the long expose shots or a quick hand held vlogging - this helps it all. Quite light for its strength and very very easy to use.The only downside I see is that the grip isn't that grippy as you might see on their demo videos but can be achieved after spending some time adjusting it.I would not want to use the term "complete value for money" as I've seen products much cheaper than this but didn't take the risk as it was my camera which I would sacrifice in case the unit fails.

Can be used to hold your camera, lights if required, and anything else that you can fit onto it as long as the weight is compatible. Biggest USP is the fact that the adjustable legs can wrap around nearly everything. So positioning a camera or lights in difficult places is easy with this. Just make sure it's all secure.

This is is a really nice product and super stable using Canon M50, kit lens and a condenser mic. Highly recommend it

Pour des appareils plus lourds, privilégier la version Pro, avec des « boules » en métal au lieu du plastique.Pour de très gros reflex avec de grosse lentille, le 3K Pro ou le 5K se discute. Le choix se fera aussi par rapport à la taille du pied.

First trip, taking my EOS R with 28-70mm F2 lens + sliding plate, total weight 2.2KG and the Joby 3K GorillaPod.I balanced my camera using an extra 140g sliding plate that puts the Gorillapod mount directly under the fat lens.I put it on flat concrete floor, it takes a good 1-2 min before it feels sturdy-ish and doesnt right away collapse under my setup. a bit better on really rough floor.And of course it happened: first day, of use, i put it on a wide enough and perfectly flat wall (overlooking the western wall in Jerusalem) - I started my timer, the legs collapsed 2 seconds later and dropped my camera from 1.5m onto a concrete floor, broke the EVF magnesium housing and scratches all around.The head, if properly tightened seems fine, its just the legs that don't hold it.

The media could not be loaded.  I bought this for my girlfriend's upcoming holiday with friends. All in all, I'm impressed.* It's easy to bend the tripod into new positions* It can hold up to 3KG of weight* The included ball head and release head are good* It's light so can be used for vloggingThere are a lot of complaints online about these breaking. It hasn't happened to the one I bought, but it is something to be conscious of. If you don't bend it into obscure positions and put too much load on it, it should be OK; but be aware that it can happen.Overall, I am happy with the purchase and may buy one for myself.

I’ve used various tripods with a variety of cameras over the years, and was attracted to the lightweight and versatile nature of the gorilla pod. Unfortunately after minimal usage small micro fractures developed in the plastic housing for one of the legs, meaning that the leg became loose and eventually fell off. Not sure I’d risk mounting expensive kit on this tripod.
