Good, but replacements are expensive
I'm of two minds about this and I'm honestly waffling between a three and four star review. The good part of this is that it's pretty easy to use this device. You pretty much just turn it on and go for it. It works far better if you hold your skin taut, as it makes it easier for the device to scrape off the dead skin. It also feels really nice to use. Once in a while I'd feel a little pinch or something like that, but it was never painful for me, and I liked the feeling of the device vibrating against my skin. I don't really feel like my peach fuzz is anything to really worry about as everyone has it, but I do have patches of pretty dry skin that are a bit problematic. One in particular is on my forehead and this device worked wonders. If you're wondering if you could also use this to deal with coarser problem facial hair, then the answer here is no. It's not really designed for this and this didn't really do anything to the little mustache that plagues all of the women in my family. (Thanks genetics!) I'd recommend doing your hair removal prior to this as I felt like this caused issues with the Dermaplane.I liked this, but I do have reservations. The first is that the blades are single use only, so you can't sanitize these and re-use them like you could some of the other stuff out there that deals with peach fuzz, like regular razors and the Finishing Touch Flawless device. Replacement blades and moisturizers are expensive, so this is pretty cost prohibitive for a lot of people out there. I'm also a little unhappy with with the location of the eject cartridge button. It's located below the blade. I kept wanting to rest my thumb there when I was dealing with specific areas of my face where it would have been easier to rest my finger there. It's not a deal breaker entirely, just that I can see people accidentally pushing it while the device is in use. The price (especially the replacement kits) is the main part, as I can't help but feel that there has to be a cheaper alternative out there for this, even if it would involve many more steps or devices in the process.Still, if you're wondering if this works, it does and I definitely like it. I'll update this after a few weeks of use and let you know how it handles in the long term. I'm also leaving this at four stars rather than three for the time being because ultimately the main problem is cost and while I'm sure that this is cheaper than going to a professional in the long term, this still comes across as a pricey luxury.

Buyer Beware
Just received my $230.00 order. The original box and blade replacements. The seal on the Dermaflash box is broken. There is no manual in the box. Looks like this item had been returned previously. Very disappointed! I cannot give any stars! 0 I cannot submit unless I give at least 1 star, consider it a -1.I will try to charge, and discard the blade in the machine. If any further issues, it will be returned. I expect quality and honesty, Buyer Beware.

Great product
It takes a minute to get used to it but if you follow instructions it works very well. Ifvyou haven't had a professional dermaplaning session before you may also want to look up a video so you can see the concept of what you are trying to accomplish.

Surprised given the reviews
I bought this because I had been wanting to try it for a while. I was hesitant because of the price and all of the reviews. After the first use, my skin has never felt so soft and smooth! Yes, this is expensive. Yes, you could get something cheaper. Honestly, I wouldn't change my mind buying this. If you are looking for just a razor, don't waste your money. But if you are looking for the added exfoliating benefits, then GO FOR IT! My skin looks and feels so much smoother and healthier.

Garbage
Battery life is terrible. "Blades" (if you want to call them that) are cheap plastic. Not worth the money.

This Compared To Micro Needling, Eh
For years I have been doing home manual micro needling. The reason for doing it is to highly stimulate the collagen in my skin while also allowing the products I use to penetrate my skin.I have heard of dermaplaning before and actually did it before with an eyebrow razor that looks very similar to the edge used in this tool. The reason for doing this is to remove the very light fuzz on my face and to exfoliate the top layer of skin allowing the products I use to penetrate my skin.I thought doing the dermaplaning process by an electronic tool might end with even more effective results. That is why I selected this Dermaflash 2.0 Luxe device. If I were to rate this tool compared to micro needling I would rate it as 2 stars. Rating this tool on its own merits, I rate it as 4 stars. Let me explain why.- With this tool I cannot use it on my nose, per the instructions. With micro needling I can treat my nose- With this tool I cannot get the tender skin under my eyes, per the instructions. With micro needling I can treat under my eyes.-With this tool you have to be very careful you don't accidentally shave your hairline or your eyebrows. With micro needling that is a non issue.- With this tool I can only treat my skin once per week, per the instructions. With micro needling I can treat my skin every other day. This means the products I use penetrate my skin deeply more often with micro needling than derma planning. All of this means with the dermaflash tool I am able to remove the very light fuzz on my face and have my products penetrate my skin once per week. With micro needling I am able to stimulate collagen and have my products penetrate my skin several times per week. For me, stimulating collagen in my skin trumps everything. The dermaflash does not have that as a benefit claim. The other thing is it is very apparent to me, besides this tool being very expensive out of the box, they really get you with the follow up purchases. The replacement edges are very expensive. The directions say the edges are one use only for hygienic reasons. I will say when you micro needle you can reuse that tool for up to 3 months, you just have to clean it before and after use with alcohol.I will not recommend to anyone who purchases this to go against what the company recommends, but I have no intention of disposing the edge after one use. I will treat the edge just like I treat my micro needler. Keep in mind the micro needler actually penetrates your skin unlike this tool that just skims the surface. The other way I see this company getting the buyer on the back end is with the pre and post flash creams. First, the tubes they supply are ridiculously small. I was actually shocked by their tiny size. See the photo. You are to use these products before and after dermaplaning. However, I found there is nothing special about the formulation or feeling of these products compared to anything I already have on my counter. All of that being said, there is a place for this tool. It works, and it works well. It does remove the peach fuzz allowing your makeup to go on smoother. It also does lightly remove the top layer of skin allowing good penetration of products. With manual micro needling there is a level of pain that you will not experience with electronic dermaplaning. So really you have to decide what you want more:- Ability to treat your entire face-High collagen stimulation-Ability to treat your face more often-Slight painOR-Treating only parts of your face-Removal of peach fuzz-Taking a chance to accidentally shave your hairline and/or eyebrows-Minimal collagen stimulation, if at all-Restricted use time-No painI also want to add that the directions state this unit comes charged out of the box. This is incorrect information. There was zero charge on mine. However, it took less than 1 1/2 hours for it to fully charge. The charging looks so pretty. See the video for what I mean. I was pleasantly surprised. The tray of replacement edges do not have a cover. I would think if they are so concerned about the edges being hygienic they would provide a cover. As it stands the replacement edges are left open. My micro needler has a plastic case.Where I come down on this? Although this is a good tool, I will continue with micro needling as my main face treatment but will pull this out occasionally.
