This Cat 7 cable is simply perfect due to its speed, reliability, and low-profile.Pros:- Tangle resistant. The amazonbasics cable is thick and durable and after you get it unspun, it's kinda tangle resistant. I ran it across a room directly from the router at first. This cable feels very sturdy and doesn’t flex easily. That’s a good thing for network cables.- Lightening speed. Immediately after swapping my old Cat6 with this Cat7 cable, I saw improvements in my bandwidth. The ping test, as well as the large file transfer test, did not show any signal deterioration compared. Excellent if you suspect low-frequency interference issues, faster speeds!- Backwards compatible with equipment designed for CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6 etc.- The gold plated connectors are a nice touch. The extra shielding of each pair, as well as individual wires, really helps reduce crosstalk and other interference. Overall, this is a great value for obtaining gigabit (and in the future 1-gigabit) speeds!- Especially recommend for 4k Android TVs. If you have 100 Mbps or above wifi connection, then your tv might need this. No buffering, no data loss.- Costs a little more, but worth it. What separates CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6 and CAT7 cable? Bandwidth, or the amount of data that can be transmitted over a predetermined amount of time. Besides that, according to most sources, the difference is mainly in the amount of RF shielding in the cable itself, a better quality of the twisted pairs of wires which eliminates cross-talk. Shielding in the cable is different than the whole gold in the connector as the shielding does keep out RF signals which seep in because any energized length of the cord is essentially an antenna. It is a perfect and well thought out product. I put this wire to LAN connection with Synology NAS and it's amazing my transfer speed and connection speed increased by ten times with every peripheral.The only thing that didn't happen was file transfer upload speed download speed didn't increase.Overall this product is very good and perfect.

The build quality is good, the wire itself is really thick, and the metal shielding on the connectors give good protection and robust feel to it.Dumbing down a bit, It's Solid and fast. Take it, without thinking (Except in case you receive a faulty product then I can't say anything).Ok, for all the nerds out there, this is for you:Cat 7 the major upgrade over the Cat6/6a is the speed and frequency range that it works on, i.e 600Mhz over 500/250Mhz respectively, that means your data will be transferred before even you can say "Mhz"...Talking about speed: Tested on a home network and a professional work station (Gigabit connection).Results:Home Connection: (100 Mbps)Cat 6a : 96-97.5 ish Mbps with minor dips in between.Cat 7 : 99-100 Mbps with a much more stable speed curve.Profession Work Station Connection (1 Gbps):Cat 6 (old worn out wire): 500-690 Mbps with Major Fluctuations in between. The new one might be bit more on the higher side and maybe stable.Cat 6a (new wire): 850-900 Mbps mostly stable to stable curve.Cat 7: 1 Gbps (+ or - 2 Mbps ) with absolutely 0 dips in connection.Talking ping : except the Cat 6 old wire which was giving out 3-5ms on a localhost server, all others were giving <1ms.All results are documented on the basis of the TASK MANAGER>Performace>Network Curve on Windows 10.

before buying this, i bought a really nice soft cat6 cable for much cheaper rate and was happy handling it and got 1gbps network conn speed but it went down to 100 mbps after few days. turns out the softer the cable is - more chances it has to get pressed/bent by something (chair/door/etc) and this makes the cat6 cable snap back to 100 mbps. but this cable is Sturdy with a capital S! its good quality and gives awesome 1gbps connectivity.totally recommended. i learnt new lesson about soft lan cables.

I got this a few days back and found that i was getting only 100 Mbps instead of 1gbps which i am supposed to get for my LAN. had to get this replaced. Thankfully the replacement worked fine. Overall am pretty happy with the quality of the product, but still a little disappointed since the first product was defective.Also this product is very stiff and the end connector clips dont seem a little flimsy (does not click into place most of the time). But having said that, the product is still worth the money spent for it and the quality is way better than any of the CAT 7 cables available in the market.
