Q: If the bottom of the basket is an "x" shaped metal frame, is that enough to support a few gallons of milk in the bottom? Or do they tip/fall?

Gallon milk jugs set in bottom by themselves would likely tip in the bottom of the cart. The canvas is strong enough to hold such. Just make sure the milk lids are tight - no spill.

Q: Can you drag cart up 3 or 4 steps without damaging wheels?

Yes, I do this once a week with a heavy load. 5 steps. It's not easy, and it stresses the cart, but it seems to be able to take it pretty well so far.

Q: What are the dimensions of the versicart?

Donna T.: Unfortunately, I keep my cart at my church, filled with corrugated blocks and other teaching supplies. However, the specs beneath the picture here at Amazon suggest dimensions of 17"X18"X 21" h.

Q: Is there any chemical odor associated with the liner or wheels on the cart? Previous carts that we owned have had terrible chemical odor to deal with

My cart is fine, no problems. I would imagine if it were left in a area of extreme heat, like the trunk of a car, the liner made of oil by product and cloth would get an odor. I keep mine in a well ventilated area where the fabric is aload to breath. Have had no issues with odors.
