Great fit and finish , satisfying build
As with all Tamiya kits, the build is super easy. Parts go together just like they should with very little flash or excess trimming. However IMO the detail is not as good as say a Trumpeter kit. The trade off is that sometimes Trumpeter kits are over complicated and sometimes have fit issues. Not this one, simple easy, LARGE for a 1/700 kit and shows you just how serious the Japanese were about the Kudo Butai ( pardon the spelling of that , it's a guess. Anyway that was one big ass carrier for 1944.

Not as big as it seems & difficult to assemble
Very small and difficult to assemble. Lots of parts to put together and the planes are very small. Not as advertised. Pictures make it look much bigger than it is. I tried to assemble but gave up as the parts do not snap together. I ended up just sending it back for a refund.
