Overall this cam is fantastic. I have it hooked up (hardwired into the fusebox for parking mode) to my 2026 Camry SE. The parking mode is very dependent on your battery but it has an automatic switch off at a particular voltage (which you can set) detected, protecting your battery from dying. It was honestly very easy to install, as most every car these days has a lot of space for the wires to be pushed into the headboard panels. If anything, the cables for the front and back camera are a bit long, but I fixed that by just winding some extra up and shoving it into the headboard. The video quality is exceptional, as you can see license plates plain as day in sunny, cloudy, and even rainy conditions. I would recommend getting the 64 GB version here and just buying a 1TB micro SD card separately to record in 4K all the time and not worry about filling the card, as that is the cheaper way to do it. Enjoy the below video of a woman yelling at me that I should've made the guy behind me wait to pass.

I bought this to replace my DR900X-2CH. No need to replace the cables. I just removed the old unit and installed this one. I wont own a vehicle anymore that doesn’t have front and rear facing cameras. The quality of video is exceptional and the new features allow me to watch the video without the need for WiFi. So worth the money. Even if this wasn’t a replacement the installation is easy. I have a battery back up so it not having an internal battery is fine. I love the parking feature.

I ordered two of these for our vehicles in October 2025. The shipping was quick with Prime shipping. It only showed up one day later than the initial expected delivery date. One works well while the other one does not. The front camera video flashes pink when reviewing it. I contacted BlackVue directly and was told the IR filter is bad, I needed a new front camera and to contact Amazon. The reps said I would have to remove all of the hardware that is somewhat permanently installed in the vehicle. I asked if I could just get the camera replaced instead of paying for the hardwired kit to be installed initially, removed and then reinstalled for the new camera. While explaining the issue to Amazon reps through the chat feature, the reps abruptly left the conversation twice. They said “let me talk to my manager and see what resolution I can get for you.” “Aladeejeek has left the conversation”. The third rep I spoke with, after going through the entire issue again said the same thing “let me talk to my manager”. She did not leave the conversation. Instead told me a new camera was on order. When it arrived I could swap out the front camera and ship back the bad one with the parts from the new one. Great, I thought. No messing with wiring and essentially a plug and play replacement. 28OCT25 the order was placed. Today is 08NOV25 and the replacement has NOT been shipped. Tracking says it may be here by the end of the month. It is frustrating to have a $500 decoration on my windshield that doesn’t work. Customer service from BlackVue and Amazon was horrible initially. Got a little better and is going downhill again with not shipping the product. The product was initially ordered with Prime two day shipping. Now I have Prime two month shipping.

Working perfectly without any issues

I upgraded an existing dash cam to this one and I've been truly impressed with the quality and functionality. Admittedly, I haven't gone through the proper install process to get the rear camera and hard-wired in to power so that it'll work when the vehicle is off, but I've been using it for a while connected via USB power and it has worked great so far. The images you get are very clear, much better than my past camera. I also appreciate that it can connect to wifi and provide a live-view at any time from anywhere. I have wifi set up in my truck already so that's a perfect solution for my use and I connected the wifi to my vehicle rather than my home. Instructions for wiring into your fuse panel are provided and rather straight forward. I would have likely done this already if it were not for one very minor flaw in the device. The one thing I do not like about it is that there's no dedicated way to power the device off. The input power is also provided via a barrel connection into the device rather than USB as most have. For reasons specific to me, I travel regularly in an area where it's illegal to use dash cams. I got around this previously hitting the off button directly on the dash cam. I'd turn the camera every time I approached the restricted area. Since this one does not have an off button, I cannot do this. Instead, I need to unplug the USB at the source, which is why I'm stuck with it wired that way at the moment. Long term, I do want to wire to fuse box and get parking security as well. Doing that though, the input power connection will not be reachable when I'm driving, which is why I've avoided so far. I've drawn up a plan to get around my issue but haven't implemented it yet. Overall, I really love this camera. I do wish the connector at the unit was USB or it had a dedicated off button. This is likely irrelevant to many people, but for me, it's very important and the one feature that's missing.
