Great upgrade for my retired Dad
I am basically "IT support" for my retired Dad. I cringe to change his computer set up because he will struggle with it if there is a problem. When his traditional desktop computer (tower) died, I decided to take the plunge and move him to a chrome box. He _loves_ it. It is so small, nice, fast, and quiet. I heard him bragging about it on the phone to his buddies. The only downer so far has been printing (he has a brother printer). That required setting up google cloud printing to get it working. It works "okay", but this is more a function of the printer not being supported directly by chrome OS than a problem with this chrome box model specifically.I would buy this again

Solid Mid-Range Chromebox
I was looking for a Chromebox that could be my primary desktop system and wanted something with a bit more oomph than the typical Celeron/4GB of RAM config. I have this driving a 34" ultra-wide display, usually with a dozen or so tabs open, all while running a couple Android and Linux apps. This thing hardly ever hiccups. It's also very quiet, I only hear the fan for a split second when it first powers on.Only a couple minor complains - It doesn't come with a mouse and keyboard and it wouldn't connect my bluetooth keyboard during setup. I had to find an old wired one and plug it in to complete setup, then setup my bluetooth KB after signing in. The other minor complaint is there's only one analog audio out and it's in the front. That's great if you're plugging headphones into it, but now I have a speaker cable hanging out of the front of the system. Not a huge deal but doesn't look as clean.Overall very happy with the system and would buy again.

Horrible experience, bad firmware
This review is specifically for the Acer Chromebox CXI3-i38GNKM. I bought this and had a horrible experience and had to return the unit. I was able to initially pair the Logitech MK345 Keyboard to it. The Chromebox worked for a few days but would completely lock up, and I mean to the point where I had to Just power it down completely, and do a re-start. It was annoying and the lockups were occurring while I was doing some light surfing and listening to songs on Youtube. One time it locked up and a Youtube video was the only thing running. The lockups got really bad after I installed HP Smartprint Chrome Extension. After that the Lockups were happening after just about 60 seconds of being logged on. What finally happened was the Keyboard got locked out and had no functionality. In order to do a hard re-set on one of these things, according to Acer's tech support page, all you do is hit the recovery button while powering on and then finish up by hitting CTRL D with your keyboard. Well when your keyboard is locked out, there really isn't much you can do. Truly a horrible experience, but the Amazon return process was a breeze. I am not going to give up on Chromebox. I intend to buy the Asus next.

Great home theater box
I am mostly using this to drive a non-smart TV. Now that Chrome OS supports Android apps this is perfect for me as every major streaming company has an Android app, or just use the web browser. I experienced no stutter, frame drops or any other issue. Box has small cooling fan that only comes on at boot and I have never noticed it running otherwise. Seems very well built, plenty of ports, I would consider this as an excellent desktop replacement if your so inclined.

Works fine with two monitors, Linux support is fine
The Chromebox is working great. You can connect two monitors with one HDMI and one USB-C connection to make a large extended desktop. It takes about 7 seconds to wake up. I've loaded Android Studio and other Linux apps and they work fine. No more waiting on Windows 10!

Pleased with the Switch to Chrome
I was a bit nervous to replace my 7 year old Windows desktop with a Chrome based desktop but it has worked very well. Setting it up was super easy and it loads instantly. I did have to buy an external camera that would specifically work with a Chrome based device.

Excellent value and performance
We bought this unit to function as an audio computer for a church. We use it to stream Google Play Music before, after and between services and to record backup audio. Works great and is faster than a comparably priced Windows machine.

Failed after 14 months
Absolutely loved this Chromebox, very fast, great set up for remote teaching with multiple monitors, separate camera, mic and speakers. Handled everything very well.Unfortunately failed after 14 months. No signal from HDMI port or USB-C.Would not recommend based on failing 2 months out of warranty.

Poorly made piece of trash.
"ChromeOS is missing or damaged" after 4 months of use by a senior citizen. Never buying an Acer anything ever again.
