BioLite Solar String Rechargeable, Solar String Lights for Camping, Patio, and Travel, 44-Foot, Color

We LOVE these lights SO much! My only gripe is that even though you can select individual colors, there isn't an option to have multi-colored lights where the strand displays orange, green, red, purple, pink, AND blue in sequence simultaneously. Versatile Ambiance These offer great ambiance in multiple settings. We hung them in a tree outside our tent and also had a string inside. It's fun to have them set to a color for ambiance, but when switched to white, they provide essential light to actually see what you're doing! Charging Practicality We love that they charge via USB-C and charge quite fast. We camp in our EV and can just plug them into the car or our Jackery to recharge when needed. Solar Reality in PNW Living in the Pacific Northwest, relying on the solar panel for recharging in shoulder seasons is pretty much useless. I'm glad it's there, but we've got many months before we'll find it useful. Our recent redwood camping trip proved this - the tree canopy made solar charging nearly impossible. Case Size Consideration The case is a bit large and feels unnecessarily bulky. As car campers this isn't a huge deal, but it's worth noting for those watching their packing space. Perfect For Car campers and RV/van lifers who want dual-purpose lighting (ambiance and functional) People with USB-C charging capability who won't rely solely on solar Creating atmosphere both inside and outside your camping setup Bottom Line Fantastic lights with great color options and fast USB-C charging. Just wish they offered a multi-color sequence option for even more visual variety. 4 stars - would be 5 with multi-color capability!

I bought a similar one from REI and it works great. This one does not hold a charge for longer than 2 hrs and doesn’t really charge via the solar. The other one I have lasts all night and charges in no time. I can not recommend this product. UPDATE: After 2 months of occasional use it doesn’t charge at all anymore. Not via cable or solar. It’s a definite don’t buy for me

I love these lights. One charge last so long and the solar option is definitely a plus. I bought these to string up around my camper awning for extra light and they are perfect. Love that I can change up the color too. Absolutely recommend these!

As another reviewer has mentioned, BioLite has chosen to be misleading in their product description. Online, on the packaging, and in the user manual it states a runtime of 25 hours on a single charge. The user manual even states that this product has low, medium, and high lumen settings which it does not. I reached out to BioLite to inquire about what setting to use to approach the stated 25 hour max runtime. Their response was, "Our team is currently conducting futher testing to gather more detailed runtime data for the color modes, as the initial details provided were specifically for the white string lights." Currently conducting further testing, eh? Sounds like they haven't tested this product. Well, I did and I got around 8 hours of runtime on the colors I am likely to use, including the warm white setting. This is disappointing as I have had great experiences with other Luci light purchases, before BioLite acquired MPOWERED. Returning this item and will likely look for alternatives to BioLite products in the future now that I know they promise performance they have not vetted, and which may be based on materially different products. Edit 9/23/25: I returned this color version and eventually decided to order the warm white version. I couldn’t be happier! Running the lights on a mix of high and low settings for three days, around 4-5 hours each evening, and the battery indicator still lit 4 of 4 lights without being placed in the sun to recharge. Unless the variety of colors is critical to your use case, you may be similarly satisfied with the warm white version.
