If you're not careful it will suck you up! It's a very powerful vac and really great for a ton of metal shavings and saw dust around my shop, and didnt lose suction. Passed the bowling ball test with flying colors this thing sucks! And for a vacuum of any sort this is a good thing 5 stars. The best part is it's not clunky like the wheeler vacs so you can stick this on your shelf. this things really great for vacuuming out your truck. It's portable enough to go in my JEEP. We are a messy family so no more quarters at the car wash or inserting our cards there into potentially a skimmer for vac time. (Thats happened twice to me) Rigid did it again! This paid for itself in less than 2 weeks in sucking power and saving me fraud claims from my bank over trying out the shady wash places / vac ports they have locally. Buy the attachments for the car this doesn't come with em. It's a 1 7/8 standard hose. The best part was I dropped some heavy aluminum stock on the thing when working and it didn't flinch. Not a dent. Rigid lives up to it's name.

I don't have room for a 5 gallon wet dry vac, this one can set on a shelf and used when needed. it works just like the large ones. it also does a great job.

Sister bought one first, and I had to have one. No more extension cords or wimpy vacs for automobiles. Plenty of power, easy to change batteries. It does use battery power faster than drills, and appreciates the higher capacity batteries. I have so many Rigid tools that this is not an issue.Still highly recommend.

If you've watched Project Farm's shootout, this vacuum destroyed the competition and is the only battery powered unit that might make you forget you aren't plugged into AC power.It is consequently about as loud as an AC power vacuum and might require hearing protection in confined spaces. It spends its battery quickly, in about 10-15 minutes for the 4aH battery, but it will annihilate the job you're doing so you don't have to keep going over the same area repeatedly. The battery also recharges very quickly. There are batteries with over twice the capacity if you want to get a half hour out of it.The plastic cover for the battery compartment could be thicker, so it would flex less and latch more consistently. The hose tends to get in the way of this. The side latches seal well but often get hooked and hung up when taking the tank off or putting it on. There is a free-spinning ring on the hose over a gap that allows suction to escape the tube that I will probably duct tape to keep it from rotating out of position. Haven't used it to suck up liquid yet, but a drain plug on the tank would be nice as tipping to pour can be a splashy affair with utility vacs.These annoyances aren't very important, it can pick stuff up without the bulk and inconvenience of a wall-plugged vacuum and the tank is a decent size.

I needed a good cordless vacuum and have lots of DeWalt and Makita batteries. Examined stats on both of them and three others, which included data on this Ridgid model. To my surprise the Ridgid was so superior to ALL the others I actually bought the charger, battery and vacuum. It's quite impressive

I love the product, it’s very good for keeping my car and truck clean , “NO ELECTRIC CORDS” also in cleaning the track of my sliding glass door , another use I have is removal of excessive moisture from my home air conditioner.drain when it plugs ,PS. The seller was prompt in delivery and true to how he represented the product. !

Has great suction and a very useful nozzle for use on car carpet. However, the sound level is incredibly loud and makes ear protection obligatory. I'm reluctant to use it as I don't like to disturb the whole neighborhood. Battery life is relatively poor, expect max. 5 minutes on a 4.0 Ah battery. Therefore only 3 stars.

We use it daily. bought it for car. So light and easy to use I uses the brush attachment several times a week on the dash, around the console and shifter etc. lets me keep the black interior neater looking. It has replaced several smaller rechargeable type vacuums. Suction is great. we even use it on interior wooden stairs, so much easier that other larger vacuums. I have even popped the filter out and used it to suck the remaining water from stopped up sick so I could take it apart. A 3 ah battery lets us finish smaller jobs several times.
