Nutshell Samsung Galaxy S3/S4/S4 Plus/S5/ATIV S Leather Belt Holster with Magnetic Flap and Steel Belt Clip - Frustration-Free Packaging - Black

I had three smart phones before the iPhone came out so I have been at this a while. I have owned several nutshell cases through the years. I have also had problems keeping phone on my belts even before I had nutshells so I have uploaded a picture of my solution. The parts are a key ring and spring loaded hook my belt goes through. It is pretty much hidden behind the case when wearing. If the clip comes off the belt it will be hanging by the hook not in a snow bank or getting run over by a car. I have had other problems with nutshell such as glue weeping out of the flap and getting on the screen. That is not an issue with this shell. I think this is the best nutshell I have ever had. The others I ordered direct from nutshell. I think I like getting them from Amazon better. Maybe they have time to cure in the warehouse? Also I don't think you can buy anything that will protect your phone better or last longer and look good as a nutshell.

I don't write many reviews but since this item was so expensive I expected the best. The leather craftsmanship on this piece is great, but after a month and a half (not wearing it everyday) the back steel clip has bent out and no longer provides a secure fit on my belt. Why can't someone make a phone holster with a solid closed loop, whether it be leather or metal? I am planning on taking it to a local leather craftsperson and have her come up with a solid loop so once I put it on my belt there is no way for it to come loose.
