YAY
I haven't had whey protein powder in YEARS due to an allergy so I can't say how it stacks up to that. However, I can say it tastes pretty darn good for a vegan protein powder. Is it a bit gritty? Yes. Does it have any aftertaste? Honestly, barely at all! Is it dairy free so allergy friendly for me? YES! Overall, I can eat it and it taste good and doesn't make me feel nauseous because of how gross it is (I'm looking at you owyn...). In my opinion this is a huge win, it technically tastes better than my previous orgain fruity cereal in terms of its less gross but I also think it doesn't taste as good because its really bland and not sweet, which all things considered could actually be a great thing and I will definitely use this in ice cream and maybe baked goods going forward. TLDR: Surprisingly good but also quite bland.

Best vegan protein option out there
I’ve had the Cinnabon and pancake batter and both are great. Best vegan protein shakes I’ve ever had. Cinnabon is my favorite but if you don’t like a sweeter taste get the pancake batter. I see some reviews about the gritty texture and I use a simple blender and this stuff blends better and tastes better than any other vegan option and I’ve tired them all. Definitely recommend this product

Wouldn’t Recommend
I’m really disappointed with this protein powder. I was really hopeful because it seemed like a legit brand. The taste of the Cinnabon Vegan Protein powder is so artificial and doesn’t taste like cinnamon buns. It has a very unfortunate slightly cinnamon “mildew” type taste (that’s the best way I can describe it) so it’s not even an aftertaste it’s just hard to swallow from start to finish. And the powder is grainy because there were harder bits in the mix to start with. I even mixed it with banana to see if that would help and it did not. The worst part is, it repeated on me for hours after I had a smoothie. It was bad enough to taste it once but to have to keep tasting it hours later is a big “no thank you.” I try to mix up my protein powders so my go-to brands are Anthony’s Pea Protein (plain for baking, low carb, no sugar, high protein and great for macro counting), Falcon Performance Sport (the black container - it’s got added aminos and creatine, vanilla flavor for shakes and smoothies), and most recently Beam- Be Amazing Vegan Protein (the maple brown sugar oatmeal one- great for smoothies or “dessert” treats). I was hoping I could add the Ghost Cinnabon into the mix, but I’m going to have to fight my way through this container. It’s way too expensive to get rid of and I definitely feel like it should be better quality for the price. Unfortunately, I can’t recommend this for fellow vegan athletes. I’ll try to see if I can bake it into protein muffins or something but- oof. Sorry guys.

Good flavor
I usually buy Optimum nutrition plant protein in chocolate but wanted a different flavor protein and cinnamon sounded good. It is pretty good flavor wise but it’s overwhelmingly sweet. I see it has a sucralose in it, it must have a decent amount because it is extremely sweet. If you want something that tastes sweeter than a piece of cake this might be a good choice for you, but it’s just too much for me.It seems to mix better than the optimum nutrition powder I usually buy though.Edit: I found a good ratio of water to protein powder and it’s actually pretty good after finding the right ratio. I’ve been using 16.9oz to 1 scoop and that really brings the sweetness to a reasonable level. I increased the rating as it seems to just be a learning curve with the new protein powder.

Banana flavor was not great
Got this based on glowing reviews, even across other protein powders. Chose the banana flavor because I've heard that "all" cocoa powders are contaminated w traces of lead/cadmium and tend accumulate In the body - especially since I drink 2-3 shakes per day the chocolate flavor was now a no-go. Banana pancake flavor is yellowish and has that banana smell, however taste-wise it's not that great. Very chalky although also very smooth and not Gritty at all, but the flavor needs something, it's just overly sweet and artificial, not like banana at all. No bloating and gas, like with my Tripact whey+plant mix protein, I am gonna try experimenting flavoring it with lemon juice and cinnamon, to make it more bearable, since I got a whole 2 lbs tub (wish they had a 3-flavor pack to order instead of committing to such large size). I feel like vanilla would have probably been a better choice for me , but I don't think these are returnable. Overall it's not bad but not the best either unfortunately, my search for the perfect plant protein continues :(

Good flavors, but off-putting texture.
I have loved what ghost brings to the table for the most part. I love a lot of their electrolyte beverages, and the variety that comes with those. I enjoy the fact that you can find pretty much anything ghost brand that tastes delicious. However, the protein in this is very high but that comes with a caveat. The texture of this is very gritty. Also, there is a little bit of a rancid aftertaste which kind of threw me off. I added some cloves to this just a few sprinkles of that and it kind of masked that weird rancid kind of flavor. I have never had something from ghosts that I didn't like except maybe this? I don't hate it, but I don't necessarily like it. I'll be able to drink the rest of it, but I don't think I would purchase it again. This is kind of sad but it is what it is. It doesn't take too long to get mixed up, and the price was reasonable, but I think overall quality was so so. I just shaker bottle to get this mixed up and for the most part it mixed in just fine. I have found that sticking with milk alternatives it loses a little bit of that gritty texture, but if you're in this mostly for the protein, mixing it with fairlife milk or something like that generally increases the protein.
