DERMAREST Psoriasis Medicated Shampoo plus Conditioner, 8 OZ

I think I had tried this product many many years ago ( over a decade ) Maybe not this brand name but one with the same ingredients. Back then I hated it. It made my scalp worse so trying this time I was hesitant but since I had heard others had such good results I thought would try it again.OMG, so glad I did ! It has almost completely lowered the levels of plaques. My plaques are not as "thick" I don't seem to want to scratch at them as much now either. Try it, what do you have to lose? I know how debilitating psoriasis can be, and as a woman with dark hair, it's not a pretty site. I wear black shirts now and don't have to constantly brush my shoulders off.

I was disappointed when I received this package as the top was loose and I lost half the product by the time it arrived..however...after trying most dandruff shampoos including, the horrible smelling coal tar ones, my scalp is just about cleared up after three uses. I had hard thick patches that I couldn't even pick off my scalp (yes I am a picker sad to say). I have psoriasis on other parts of my body and was demoralized when it started on my scalp and embarrassed to go to hair dresser. This one really exceeded my expectations. I hope they never stop making it.

It probably would work better if I shampooed more frequently, but my hair is dry so I tend to only shampoo once or twice a week. However, when I do use it, it does dry my scalp irritations somewhat; however, it just makes more itchy scabs, which I in turn tend to scratch off...then the cycle starts all over again.

Appears to have worked. My scalp is psoriasis free now. Was a tad bit drying on my scalp and hair, but I had no choice except to use it. The psoriasis on my scalp had been getting worse - and patches getting bigger - for a year. Just plan to add a good conditioner and ends protector if you blow dry. I saw immediate results - the scaly patches stopped itching - then took about 2 months to completely clear up the scaling and redness. This is good stuff.

I have an itchy scalp. Started about a year ago and I have been to a dermatologist and was given topicals which didn't appear to be effective after prolonged use. I read about this shampoo then gave it a try. After using for a prolonged period I have found some relief. I am not scratching like I had previously so I am satisfied. Note: I have tried many other shampoos, treatments and tea tree oil. I like this product.

Bought for my mother-in-law and she has no longer had issues with psoriasis on her scalp. This is second bottle and will continue to purchase for her. The dermatologist diagnosed it and a friend told me this shampoo has helped it. It really works and recommend highly to others suffering with psoriasis.

works great for me! i wanted to try this out since i have very sensitive skin and all other shampoos irritate my scalp around the outer hair lines (even head and shoulders bothers me)...i get itchy, red patches....to the point i am too embarrassed to go to the hair dresser...but when i use this shampoo, i have no issues and a very happy head of hair. YAY :)
