I have a Sps dominate system and full apex with trident but for alkalinity all I care about is if its between 8 and 9, I don’t care if it’s 8.42 instead of 8 this tells you what you need to know without complicating things and it is priced right. The color change is very easy to see also.

Needed Koi Pond Test
I use this to test our Koi pond water about once per week. It may be a test unknown to some, but city water should be tested for carbonate . After many of these tests I add baking soda to bring to improve the water. Good product.

Good reliable tester for my reef salt water

Pretty Accurate
I only gave this 4 stars because of the way I received it. The solution had popped and leaked a bit inside the box but everything else was okay. Tests seem to be pretty accurate still.

Missing Chart
Did not come with chart to identify KH level so the rest of the kit was useless. Had to return it because we could not use it.
