Top shelf product
This review is based on what I've seen and heard in the 2 days I've had them. First, they came well packed, but nothing fancy. Build quality is excellent overall. I like the fact that the cables are interchangeable with other mmcx cables, and not the 2 prong kind. Right out of the box, these fit my ears perfectly with the pre-attached eartips, but also included other size tips if necessary. Of course the most important thing with earbuds is the sound and comfort. These do not disappoint. Sound is on the level of my audio technica ath m50x studio headphones. The perfect fit also kept most outside noises to a minimum, and ensured me a great range of sound. No issues with comfort either. So I highly recommend. I'm not sure how they will hold up, but, so far, I'm very happy with the final e4000 earbuds.

Great headphones that work best for me over-ear
I use a Schiit DAC/amp with my laptop and these headphones work brilliantly with it (they do work best when you use a headphone amp, by the way). The fit is good and the sound they produce is full and clear, with an excellent balance of lows, mids, and highs - leaning slightly warm, I think. The only negative for me is that, because I have slightly smaller than average ears, the earpieces stick out a little. That causes the cord to pull the earpieces downwards and press against the top of my ear canal. So my ears used to get sore after using these headphones for a while. That was super easy to fix using the supplied rubber ear hooks. When I use those soft, comfortable hooks to wear these headphones over-ear they fit well and sit comfortable in my ears for hours on end. Your mileage may vary, of course. But, if you do have smaller ears, try the ear hooks. Overall these are the best sounding headphones I've bought in a couple of years and would recommend them highly to anyone with a DAC/amp looking to upgrade their sound.

Didn't last one year
The sound from these is AWEsome. But I babied them: I bought a Shure cable (the one with the earpieces is not durable); always kept them in a hard shell glass case, I was very, very careful with them. And one earpiece failed after one year. I used them about twice a week. Needless to say, I will not purchase them again. Oh yes, and when I tried to register my product with the manufacturer, the website gave me the message "Testing 123..This page is used to test the proper operation of the Apache HTTP server after it has been installed. If you can read this page it means that this site is working properly." Uh huh. But it didn't lead me back to the company website, and I received no confirmation by email. So I presume there is a one year warranty, but I can't do anything about it. Anyway, for this kinda of money, I don't expect failure after one year. But the sound is awesome, as long as it lasts.

Best in price range I've tried
I was looking for a replacement for my prior pair of IEM's: hifiman re600s v2 songbird, which sounded very musical (albeit definitely not a flat response curve) but had flaws in the construction which lead to the lack of durability. After a lot of researching and multiple blindfold tests I found these Final Audio E4000's to be exactly what I was looking for. They provide clarity across the frequency range and have a bit of bump on the low end though definitely not overstated. The sound-stage is encompassing (as it should be with IEM's imo) which makes these sound great for just about any genre of music. With the Comply rounded foam tips I get a great seal and it blocks out the majority of the intrusive sounds that busy NYC throws my way. Highly recommend!

Warm sound, good build quality
I've owned Final's E3000's for a couple of years and really like them, so when my beloved Klipsch S4s finally died, I took a chance on the E4000's as a replacement. The sound quality is very good -- solid bass with an overall warm sound. The question I'm wrestling with is whether these are worth roughly 3x the price of the E3000's, which are terrific in their own right with maybe a touch less bass but a brighter top end. To my aging ears, a boosted top end is a little more useful than a boosted bottom, so I'm not sure. These are good phones in their own right. The barrel size is a hair larger than the E3000, and the stiff wire connector means the fit is a bit different. The E3000 slipped easily into my ear canal, but the E4000 seems a little more resistant to insertion unless I flip them over (with the cable exiting at the top) and use the ear hooks. The sound is good either way. These are far less sensitive to ear positioning than some other phones I've owned, like the Shure SE215, which goes from great to crap with a tiny change in insertion angle. Listen to the last 3 minutes of Mark Knopfler's "Speedway At Nazareth" to hear what these buds are capable of.

Comfortable and sound great
Cons: I've owned it for less than one month with casual use, but about 5% of the time, the right earbud would randomly cut off all sounds for a few seconds. Can't tell if it's a wire or driver issue as I haven't tried replacing the wire yet. --- Pros: The other 95% of the time, the sound quality is great. Very neutral and has a decent soundstage. I find its soundstage to be not as good as my kz-as10, but it is leaps and bounds better than something like a 1moretripple driver. --- Buy it for its comfort level, especially if you have small ears like me. For its price tag, the sound quality is up there. They beat out all the $100 ranged earbuds I've ever owned. I find them perfect for commuting in NYC and everyday use. --- Some more things to note : - The wires make alot of noise, but u can always use the hook they give or just switch them out since it's detachable (or go wireless Google it). - Turn up the volume since they aren't incredibly loud. - It's Suuuper lightweight. - Minimal sound leakage. I can listen to Britney aggressivly yelling at me to "Work B*tch" as I'm dying studying in the library just fine.

Buen sonido, agradable, sin embargo los detalles no son acorde a su precio, pero impresiona su calidad de sonido por su tamaño.

Before buying them I was reading and searching for reviews from the user expierence point. A lot was positive, some was not. My goal was - a balance with a great soundstage and neutral sound with no peaks in the treble spot..And it is 100%. Pleasantly sounding sub bass, bass is heavy but not harsh or to much boomy - it is quite smooth and not affecting a mid bass zone. Mids are transparent, real, lively. Mid highs has a warm and attractive sound with no peaks, trebles are perfect, nice and realistically clear without saturation and compression. The overall sound of this beauties is “live, realistic and very wide”. I think the main thing of the e4000 is the soundstage which is truly amazing. Listen to the “Blade runner 2049” soundtrack..oh man..it is sooo huge. Very very nice soundstage with emotional and deep sound. For the imaging - they are not on the top of the top level but it still nice, you can perfect hear all the nuances without to much analysis. I think the idea is to keep the “musicality” as the primary thing and not the analytical side. But anyway - I think they are more to the analytical side but not to the point where you hear details with to much focus on them..so it is a good balance. Overall I like them so much and they are just perfect. Some comparisons. - it is better than momentum 2 (wireless) - the soundstage is bigger and the overall frequency shape is more neutral. Momentum has a little saturation, especially on a highs - which is not so good. It is better that Hifiman re400. The soundstage is wider and overall tone is more transparent and clear. Now, for the planars - I have a SUNDARA - very famous headphones in Hifi world.. Of corse SUNDARA is on the next level and imaging, detail retrieving, the speed and the whole emotion is better on SUNDARA. However, there is two think I prefer to e4000.-it is soundstage and trebles spot. Soundstage is wider and trebles are more neutral in comparison with SUNDARA. In conclusion - it is sooo greatly balanced iems with a huge soundstage and very nice comfort. They are tryout small but has a gigantic balls)) Thans final audio!

Pros: Comfortable as hell a lot of different ear tips to choose from Sounds great* Cable is detachable Uses standard ear tips Cons: Carrying case is not very good, would recommend an aftermarket one I would say these are a bit overpriced (Maybe $50) Over the ear plastic bits aren't what I expect at this price point and would have liked better cables Bass Heavy sound with muted high end* *I personally really like the sound, these would be a fine addition to add to a performer's kit as your IEM or as ONE of a set of headphones to mix on (as long as you AB others), If you're looking for a more flat sound you might want to look elsewhere such as the Sennheiser IE 40 PRO I have used the Sennheisher IE40 Pro's, Shure SE215's, Audio Technica ATH E 40 and Audio Technica ATH E 50 as IEM's for mixing stage monitors at a nightclub and out of all of those these are what I think sound the best to me and allow me to deliver the best mix.
