Biosafe 201732 SaniDate Ready to Use Fruit and Vegetable Wash, 32-Ounce

The bottle arrived in a standard Amazon box, with the bottle within contained in a sealed plastic bag. The nozzle was not securely screwed on (it was hardly screwed on at all), and the contents of the bottle leaked into the plastic bag. Very little product was left in the bottle. The product itself smells like vinegar and bubbles a bit like hydrogen peroxide. I'll be making my own wash from now on with these two extremely inexpensive liquids.I just paid $15 for an empty $2 spray bottle. Seems like this problem might be common, as indicated by the presence of the plastic bag (the 16 oz bottle I ordered did not come in a bag, but was properly sealed). Avoid the 32 oz bottle. Some customers received a plain cap instead of a spray nozzle. At least they got the contents along with it. Rip off.

I don't really know how effective this product is, but no one got sick from the vegetables and fruit washed with it. A spray handle should come with the bottle, it only has a cap.

According to foodsafetynews.com, research has shown this product to be very effective in killing pathogens on fruits and veggies, particularly cantaloupe. Peroxide sanitizers, which this is, has also shown to be very effective on conveyor belts for ready to eat meat and poultry products. The problem with the product I received from Pro Products through Amazon is that the "spray" bottles had no sprayers attached. The product is described as spray bottles, and the pictures clearly show sprayers on the bottles, but no sprayers came with the bottles and my requests for sprayers were ignored. I will definitely buy the product again, but not from Amazon.com.
