easy to hold. nice to write with.
Love this model of Kuru Toga pencil. The rubber band at the end of the pencil makes holding and writing with this pencil very nice. The color is nice as well. A good option to have. Highly recommend.

good pencil
I use this pencil all the time for drawing and writing. it's very comfortable to hold, and I like the rotating tip. the pen is plastic, and the eraser is small, so id use another eraser with it. I think it's easy to use, and it's very lightweight. I think I got my money's worth.

Amazing mechanical pencil for writing Japanese
I got this pencil for writing Japanese. After hundreds and pages of writing, this thing is holding up strong! The engine mechanism this thing is known for is no joke either. Very satisfying purchase!

It is not a red pencil
The advertisement says that the color of the ink is red. That's why I bought it because I needed a red pencil. It is not red. It is black. Their advertisement says red, but it's not.

I really enjoy this pencil
I really enjoy this pencil. I mainly write in pencil and I've had crappy luck with cheaper brands like Bic. The first pencil I bought was the uni-ball version here in America, which comes in .5 and .7 leads. As I started to look for another pencil I found this one from Amazon and bought it as well, so far the quality is the same. A few things to take into consideration before you buy.-The leads that it comes with don't feel the same as the nano-diamond blend ones from uni, I've replaced the ones it came with, with a few of those and I feel that there is a difference. It doesn't break as often.-As someone posted before do not load more than 4 leads at a time, I ran into this problem with my .7, as I crammed about 7 or so of them into the pencil because I hate running out of lead on the job. This caused a huge jam, and required lots of poking and breaking leads inside the chamber to push everything back out and make it functional. It was a huge pain the butt, but I got it working again.Overall the pencil is really great and I've enjoyed using my original uni-ball ones for about 9 months now.

Japanese mechanical pencil; good quality!
Just in case you cannot read the Japanese, I will tell you the basic concept of this. Inside the pencil are some metal gadgets and whatnot that rotate the graphite a bit every time you press down and up the pencil from the paper. Instead of using up all the graphite on one side and making you write with the diagonal side that's long, this keeps it sharp by turning it. But because of this, the pencil stays sharper when you write then when you are drawing or shading in something (because you lift up your pencil more when writing). I have won a special edition pink one of this in an essay contest, and it was pretty cool. This time I've ordered a red one to match my pencil case.Japanese mechanical pencils (and other things) are usually more high-quality than many American things made in China. I strongly recommend you to get Japanese things for as many things as possible- unless you tend to lose them rather often, as the price does tend to be on the higher side because of shipping. (This is coming from a half American half Japanese.)
