I received the wrong pattern & color, returned it, & received the wrong pattern & color a second time. What I had gotten was a gold compact that had a different nature scene on each quarter. The work is absolutely beautiful, but I chose the pattern shown because the design is very much like pictures my mother & I would draw to exchange with each other on holidays, & we both prefer silver verses gold. I had planned on buying one for myself & another for her after getting mine as a preview. I'm very disappointed since I thought this specific design would make it look like I had them custom made. I would still recommend the Antique Alive mother of pearl compacts since they really are beautifully made, just know that there's a good chance (based on my experience) you won't get the specific design or color shown.

I had been looking for a mirror compact in shops for months, and just could not find anything pretty or solid enough, so I ended up taking the risk of buying online. Although it took a few weeks to arrive, this compact is gorgeous. It is slim and fairly small, which is perfect for slipping into a pocket or handbag, and definitely looks dainty and feminine. (Some I had found in shops tend to be quite thick and bulky.) It is of decent weight, again suggesting good quality, unlke the bulky lightweight plastic ones I have found in shops. Even once you include the cost of postage, the price is incredibly reasonable, and it would be easy to believe it actually cost quite a bit more. It arrived in a little pouch, within a box, so well packaged and presented. I bought this as a gift for my mother, but I must admit, I rather wish I could keep it for myself.

Absolutely beautiful and very stylish, received many comments. Easy to open but secure clip, very clear normal and magnifying mirror, comes with a small white drawstring bag. Arrived well packaged.
