2 flashlights arrive in a plastic box which also contains a plastic sleeve for a 18650 battery or an insert for 3 AAA batteriesI tested it with 3 AAA batteries ... the ONLY functions which worked were on/off and zoom ... then ... I tested with a18650 battery ... ALL functions worked, e.g., high steady light, lower steady light, fast strobe, slower strobe, and zoom. I reduced my review a * because it's a bit annoying to have to switch it off ... and ... wait 5 seconds b/4 turn it on to get to the next phase choice, e.g., high light, strobe, etc ... that said, my preference is to use a 18650 unless one was not available or I did not have a 18650 charger ... I'm impressed with these flashlights ... "for the $$" it's a good purchase ... I'm buying 2 more sets

Took these on several camping and hiking trips. They work great no only in the rain but in rough terrain. These have been dropped several times, 1 down a hill and landed in a puddle of water. Even after all that, they both still work perfectly. Can adjust the light with no issues. The only thing we haven't done to these is run them over but we'll see if that ever happens. Even with wind, rain and being dropped on rocks, these flashlight are built for heavy duty use. Highly recommend if you're rough on flashlights too.

I had to buy batteries as it did not come with rechargeable ones, left battery review blank for that reason, only had it for 2 or 3 days works very well using Duracell 3 A batteries. This flash light replaced one same brand someone borrowed and never returned over all 5 stars.

My case , and the envelope it arrived in did not contain any batteries even though the miniscule info card indicated battery was included Though a battery # was noted no info on battery size AA or AAA or lithium or alkaline type. If and when I locate a battery will that battery have to be charged or ready for use. Since it may take some time to get this mess straightened out and actually get the flashlight to work, I recommend you find an alternative you can switch on and check for a working beam & skip the headache.

These are so convenient to have! We keep them in the small drawers by our front door with the rest of our headlamps and small camping gear. They also work really great for small hands, since I have 6 kids! We love them.

The flashlight is functional but it is not as bright as I expected.
