Best friend who is a mechanic needed this kit and was unable to buy local. He’s pleased with the kit, and the price. Uses it frequently on the job. Good product at a great price.

I think this is a great product. It has a well written user manual (with a few exceptions) and a lot of extras.That being said, there was a few issues that upset me. I'll start with the case. It is rugged and well built -- almost too well. It took an extremely large amount of effort to get everything I needed out of the case. There is absolutely no way anything can move around in there when it literally took a crowbar for me to remove everything i needed from the case. That is fine for almost everything in the box, except for the regulators. Luckily I did not break them when I removed them. The case does have a hard time closing if everything is not perfect. The latches will break over a short period of use as they do not seem that well built (at least not on my unit).The design of the case to hold the included paint strainers leaves them permanently creased and almost useless even if you had a paint strainer holder. Seriously though if you are spending the money on a set chances are you are going to need more filters anyways, so this shouldnt be that shouldnt discourage you away from this.My large paint cup came deformed, probably a 8-10mm inward dent (yes in plastic). This can be discouraging.The instructions are very well detailed, however there were some small plastic parts that were not identified.If my case wasn't such a pita to insert and remove items, and my large paint cup wasnt dented, I would give this 5 stars.

Nice kit. Plastic box is a bit tight but maybe that's good for transport. Some of the pieces have to be pried out with a screwdriver. Wish there was an extra space for the air/water filter and perhaps a viscosity cup. Only used the small gun so far and it's much like using a spray can.On 1st attempt, we thinned some nice lemon alkyd paint from HD with about 30% mineral spirits and got a light spray pattern that produced respectable results with overnight drying time. On the next attempt, we thinned about 50-50 with naptha and the result was very similar to using a spray can. Quicker coverage and somewhat shorter drying time although still couldn't touch it until next day.Reading online suggests paint cans are now thinning with acetone but some complain that it dries too fast. May try that next as our project is not large. This experience sheds some light on the "12 oz" of paint in a spray can. More like 5 or 6 oz of paint and 6 oz of thinner but cleanup is a lot easier. The gun is easy to clean but it does take a few minutes. For overnight projects, we just wrap tightly in plastic and spray out a test pattern to clear the nozzle before the next coat. So far, so good.It uses a surprising amount of air. Direct spraying is best. Oblique spraying angles can make a LOT of mist. Definitely wear a respirator/particle mask and avoid trying to spray pieces laying flat on the table. The guns allow a wide range of spraying angles but vertically up and down are not included.

I may be biased since this is my first proper spray gun after giving up on the tedium of careful work with a quality brush. But boy, is it night and day. The quality is far better than by-hand, and the work goes so fast it feels like most of the time is spent on prep and cleanup, not painting. That said, part of the reason I went with this particular unit was the case looked like it would be actually useful, not just a shipping protector. Turns out the case is not too well thought out; once you've assembled the supplied (very basic) flow regulators, the guns won't go back in. A couple of the detents are too tight. I gave up and just went with ziploc bags, which was a little disappointing, so one star off. But otherwise, it does what it says on the tin with a minimum of fuss and at a reasonable price point for the occasional home gamer.

Item was received as described in the description. It works great for the projects that I have to do. The only down fall for this product is, nowhere did I see were it said what type of paint can be used with it. So for that I give it 4 stars, other that that it would've gotten 5 stars. I have a Porter Cable 6 gallon compressor and the sprayer worked perfect. I just had to keep waiting for the compressor to build back up once air pressure was used. May need at least a 15+ gallon compressor so you don't have to stop and wait so much. Maybe it was my compressor, but the spray pattern didn't spray 9.0 inches wide.

Very happy with the kit especially for the price. It will be ideal for the light occasional work I intend to use it for. The kit is comprehensive and looks better in real life than the pictures.My only wee niggle is the tightness of the fit, its crazy tight and I thought I would damage the regulators getting them out. Also you can't use the case to store the guns once you have the air nozzle attached, that just dumb as I dont want to screw a nozzle on every time I spray and unscrew it to after spraying put them away and I dont want to leave the guns lying around in the garage and risk being damaged. I'll probably make a new case.Apart from that, great kit for the $$.

I have used this to poly a dozen or more times now with no problems. It is not a high dollar HVLP sprayer but for a gravity feed and the price it does a good job. Easy clean up and it did not leak at the trigger like some reviews I have read. I do several woodworking projects and it sure speeds up the finish process.I do recommend a 10 gallon air compressor for larger projects, I have used my 6 gallon for smaller ones such as picture frames and it worked.

The recommendations are for an 8 gallon minimum compressor, but it works with my little 6 gallon pancake. Be for-warned, you're going to have to pause a lot while the compressor catches up but it does work. If you're painting things like cars where absolutely needing to maintain that wet edge the smaller compressor tank sizes won't work. If you're like me, and painting the house or farm equipment, etc... Then this is a must have! They really do only need like 4 CFM to function!

on my bucket list I wanted to spray paint some wicker furniture. At 82 I purchased his item which included everything needed except the paint and the compressor. The later I didn't have the recommended size of 8 gallons but used a 5 gallon and which needed to re charge but no big deal. Job done and now move on to my next project on the list. Just ordered flooring for a ensuite bathroom floor from Amazon. Delivery next week.
