Great kit
I bought this kit years ago. I don't recall how much I paid, but the current price is sub $60. Mine has the "missing" LED flashlight that the other CruzTools GrooveTech Guitar Kit is supposed to have, but even without it, this kit is great. If you play guitar and want to learn how to make your guitar play well without taking it to a tech, this kit and the included booklet will help you accomplish that goal. If you live in an area where the climate shifts at least twice a year, the practice of setting up your guitar is a must! The only tools not included are a brain and something to hold your guitar steady. Good luck with the former; you can find the latter on Amazon...As to quality, all of the guitar-centric tools are great. The flashlight is garbage, so don't feel bad if you get a kit without it. The only issue I have is that the larger hex wrenches are 'just' long enough to make truss rod adjustments. They could really use an extra inch or two, but that could be a problem limited to certain makes of guitars. Otherwise, everything functions to expectations and I've successfully done full setups on my two Les Pauls, my Martin acoustic, a Yamaha bass, and a couple of friends' guitars many times over. This kit never fails.

Excellent Tools!
I bought this tool kit after buying the book "How To Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great!" I wanted the convenience of one kit that included all the tools needed to setup my Tele, acoustic, and bass guitars. This kit fit the bill! It improved my Tele's playability, and contained just about every tool I needed. The tools are of high quality as well.I did buy a couple of specialized tools from Stewart MacDonald (stewmac.com) -- a set of under-string radius gauges and a string action gauge (metric). I wouldn't be without these tools, and they complimented the CruzTools kit quite nicely!CruzTools also throws in a booklet on how to do a setup. It gives the setup specs for electric, acoustic, and bass guitars. It's a nice adjunct to "How To Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great!"

Nice little tool kit for basic guitar maintenance
The tools in this set, with the exception of the capo, are of reasonably good quality and are useful in doing basic guitar setups and maintenance. While I had most of the tools already, I bought this set mainly because I wanted to keep a small separate set of tools for working on my guitar. Basically, I felt uncomfortable using the same tools that I use when fixing dirty/greasy things like my car or lawn mover on my guitar. While you could probably buy most of these tools separately at slightly lower cost, this kit does contain two unique parts that make buying it worthwhile. 1) It contains a guitar specific depth guage that I cannot find locally which contains finely graded measurements specific to the guitar AND has general guitar measurement recommendations printed on the guage itself. It's a great tool that I could not otherwise find. 2) This tool kit contains a well-presented basic guide to doing your own set up that was easy to understand and follow. It was far simpler and easier than the method presented in Erlewine's books. While I'm sure my setup is not as good as a professional, it greatly improved the sound a playability of my guitar.I'm deducting one star for the capo. It's a cheap strap style capo that just detracts from the quality level of the other tools. Other than that, its a great little tool kit for basic maintenance.

I'm not a tech
I'm not mechanically inclined at all but I was able to do a basic set up in less than an hour on the first day. The tools are high quality and instruction book gives clear directions (English only!). There are also youtube demos you can watch. There are a lot of great guitars in the world that need a good set up and now I don't have to spend $50 a pop to make them playable. This pays for itself day one.

Great Value!
I still can't play worth a darned but as a amateur luthier, my friends and family are amazed at how well I can make their "piece of junk" guitars sounds awesome with this kit and the book "How to Make Your Electric Guitar Play Great - Second Edition" [....]. All of the tools are high quality and work just fine. Highly recommend!

Life Saver
Love the tool kit. Bought it over a year ago, and still holds up. The wire cutters make string changing easy, and the booklet is very useful. Now I can setup my guitars, without having to spend $80 at a shop. Thanks!

Everything you'll need to take care of a guitar
This pack, or rather everything inside of this pack, should be owned by anyone who has a guitar. All of these tools are necessary to the setup and maintenance of one's guitar. The screwdriver is pretty good quality, it's a standard 2 sided head with both small and large sizes of + and - (I was going to write Phillips and screw heads but I thought the diagram would be easily to understand), as is the wire-cutters. The string winder was pretty badly made and I didn't use it much, as with the capo that was included. The ruler is definitely useful and the Allen wrench's are pretty good quality, although I did NOT get to test them out as much as I would have liked. I usually like to put the Allen wrenches through a more rigorous testing before reviewing, but they seemed to be fine and weren't made from cheap malleable metal. For the price point, I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who can maintain and setup their own guitar, rather than bringing it to a shop every month for servicing.

Great tool set for setting up any bass or guitar. Nice to have everything I need for setting up my basses in one handy pouch. High quality tools. They will make your mama change her maiden name to Cruztools.
