Perfect for kids scared of the doctors
I bought this book just before my little one was going to get his booster jabs at 3 years old. This really helped calm the nerves and explain the process. And definitely paid off and he was an absolute trooper getting his jabs!

Great book to prepare for a doctors visit
We have several of the books in this range and used this one specifically to help prepare our 3 year old for his vaccinations. It was very successful, he loves books with flaps and was able to associate things in his visit with things in the book.

This was a nice short book about taking young children to the doctor and expectations for being in the waiting room, undressing for the visit, and getting medications. At the bottom of each page are little tips for the parents about how to handle your child’s reactions to going to the doctor. My child is only 18 months old but she enjoyed the interactive features of the book such as spinning the dials and flipping the pop ups. Overall I highly recommend!

Perfect book to help our babies understand what happens at the doctor, we used this so much to talk about doctors and appointments with our little babies. They even wanted to take it to the doctors to show them

My daughter loved this book. It’s engaging and encouraged her to ask questions about going to the doctor.

Bought this to prepare my 3yo for the upcoming check-up and am utterly disappointed. The story takes two kids to the doctor's, one for a check-up along with an injection, one for a cold. The storyline is very simplified and scattered, it confused more than it helped. The check-up is not explained at all, the chile is measured and gets his injection - why, how etc. is not explored at all. The other child is simply prescribed medicine. It just doesn't make any sense and definitely doesn't help prepare a child for a doctor's visit. Two stars still because the illustrations are nice and I like the depicted diversity, e.g. the doctor is a black woman. Other than that, would not recommend the book.
