LaPrima Shops Authentic Hand Made All Broomcorn Broom (54-Inch/Medium - Black)

I'm a hairdresser with a tiny salon suite. Because I don't have much in the way of dedicated, out-of-sight storage, I try to keep all implements as aesthetically pleasing as possible. I looked at Home Depot and was underwhelmed by their selection of big, ugly brooms with loud-colored trim, so I took to Amazon. I typed in "black broom" and came upon this one. Not only is it Amish made, from natural broom corn, but it is really lovely to look at, hanging on my salon wall. I get compliments on it from everyone, and the Halloween junkies especially covet it, lol! I covered the label with black vet tape and now it's both beautiful AND functional. You need this broom in your life!

I have had this broom on my wishlist for quite a while now, waiting for it to come back in stock. Yes, I know I could have had one that wasn’t black, but I WANTED BLACK! And I’m glad I waited because it brings me joy. I have been very anti- plastic brooms for a while now. The brush part never seems to last; it gets dirty and seems to split (like getting split ends). Then it holds all the dirt and hair. GROSS. So after a bunch of research, I found out about “broom corn.” NOT plastic, all natural, good for the environment AND gets the job done efficiently. Who would have thought that such an old-school item would retain its value/use over new plastics?? (heavy sarcasm there, please note) This broom is the perfect height for gripping comfortably. When sweeping, I don’t have to keep going back over the same area multiple times to get all the pieces. I did a video to show you— it’s on a rug, but I’ve used it with great results on our hardwood floors and other rug types. I think this broom is an AMAZING value for the money! Pretty sure this is going to last me a LONG time.

Are all brooms alike? Definitely not! This one rocks! It holds up. It takes abuse. Most of all it does what a broom is supposed to do-- it moves dirt, trash, unruly black snakes out the door It lasts. Expensive? Worth it- Period!

Used daily in a barn with concrete floors. Will update if it starts to disinegrate too quickly. I do wish it were wider and stiffer but the product description is accurate. This is the best broom I've found since retiring my old broom.

I don't consider myself an uber-domestic---up to date on all the best gadgets, tips, and tricks for housekeeping. But when I tell you I have fallen in love with a broom, I tell you the truth. It's sturdy, it sweeps evenly, and is good for either indoors or outdoors. I will say it's somewhat large, and therefore may not be the broom for you if you have a lot of low-rise furniture. A little more shedding than a plastic broom, but not so much it annoys you.

I love this broom! It's so witchy looking. Solid craftsmanship, beautiful NATURAL black (all the other brooms with black bristles are made of synthetic material), nice hardwood handle. Bonus: it does a nice job of sweeping!! But, it's so pretty, I'm reserving my for indoors sweeping on the hardwood floors. This baby's never touching the ground outside if I can help it. Oh, and it seems gentle on the floor, too. My hardwood floor is finished with just beeswax.

I was hesitant to pay nearly $50 for a broom but based on prior reviews, I decided to go for it. Unfortunately I wish I hadn't. The bristles are breaking off or simply falling out. Whether I'm using it on my living room tile flooring or our pool deck pavers there are pieces of bristles left behind. Literally pieces of all different sizes. Maybe I received a defective broom, I'm not sure. I threw away the box so I'm not going to try and return it; however, I wanted to share my honest review.
