These lights can be amazing for the right purposes!
The media could not be loaded. I purchased these light for the intention of my patio. I wanted lights that were not overly bright as I like to use my patio to look at the stars. The lights themselves are deceptively small on a very thin wire that attaches to the solar pack. I bought 4 sets of 33 ft lights.I have had lights similar to these I had bought at the dollar store during Halloween about 8 years or so ago. I had a ton of these small ones in different colors and I use them in strange places because they are battery packed light. I have loved these types of lights for a long time and thought it would be cool to not have to replace a battery all the time. These little cheap lights did not disappoint! When unboxing them and going to put them where you want them the most important thing to remember is to NOT unwind them. Unwind and secure as you go otherwise you will end up with a hot mess of tangled wires. It can be extremely frustrating to try to do this. I have stored my old lights on a small piece of cardboard when I wanted to move them or for storage. This simple step will save you a lot of time not arguing with the wires.Pros: these take almost 0 space for storage. They come in a billion colors and you could use them for any holiday or no holiday at all. They are light weight and you can use them to brighten a wreath, or put them in your car to light up floor boards and place the solar pack in your back window. I have a pack under my car that I taped to a grease mat in the garage and fed the pack outside of the garage door and have them on flash mode to keep mice and rats away. I can run them over and they don’t break They are easy to hide. You don’t have to use heavy mounting hooks and could use a million different kind of ways to fasten them. From plain scotch tape to putty to gum if you really wanted to. They are cheap! You don’t have to place the in the solar pack in the ground as a single 3m Velcro sticker will hold it. They are so versatile and add a bit of elegance without much effort. The light don’t break. The lights don’t burn out. I have had the ones in the cat box for close to 10 years and they still work perfectly. They are beautiful and give off enough light you could use them instead of Xmas lights on your house. You could even just leave them up and just turn them off because they are almost invisible during the day and if you tuck them in well they will still have a beautiful glow even under eves or gutters. They are literally free to have on.Cons: they tangle if you are not careful when you unwrap them. If the do get tangled and you start twisting them you can break the wire and ruined them. I have lost them after storing them and forgetting to label the box well because they are so small.I can’t recommend these lights enough. Every diy and crafty person should have a bunch of these. If you want the smaller ones you can grab them at the dollar tree. Just so you know. But I am now I love w the solar ones!

Still working
I put these up for Christmas, but liked them so much, I've kept them up. It is now 7 months later and they are still working. They look like little twinkle/fairy lights, so I think they are appropriate for year round. I'm impressed that at this price they are still working 7 months later.

So awesome I just bought two more!
These work so well and look so good that I’ I’ve just bought another set for the tree in the front yard. They don’t tangle because they’re on a spool that unravels as you put them up. I love all the different settings, and they stay on for so long! They were still on in the middle of the night when my husband got up to get a drink. These look so good on the tree in my back yard. Now the tree in my front yard is going to look just as good. Kind of looks like I had a professional landscaping designer do my yard. 😁

Solar lights work well, amazingly bright but NOT when Christmas lights are on near solar panel
Bought the Brightown solar fairy lights for our palm trees. Charged the solar panels in the sun. Took time to carefully unwind the copper wire so as not to tangle as other reviews posted. I posted the solar panel, started from the bottom of the palms unwinding the copper light strands slowly as I was winding them up around the palms. This worked well, no tangles. Reasonably, it is copper wire so it can get stuck in a bend and catch the wire going the other way. I also gently wound the copper wire with fairy lights around a bungie cord near the top or before the palm leaves (see photo to keep the lights in place) and then came back down the palm trees so as to double up for brighter lights (see photos). The lights did not turn on as the sun set. Clicked and double clicked the ON/OFF button, nothing. The solar lights DID come on when we turned the panels upside down to trouble shoot. We have dark smooth river rock in our palm trees. We figured out that our Christmas lights impact the solar panel sensor. Sensors must sense the Christmas lights mistakenly for daylight and not turn on. Logically, the solar panels work when our Christmas lights are off. Worth the money, plenty of light, joyful, ease of set up and use, bring ambiance and they stay bright evening to morning and they are solar. I am ordering more. (My sweetheart originally said that he thought I should return these lights because he thought they would not be very bright. He loves them! We took down the Christmas lights after New Years and left the Brightown solar fairy lights up on the palm trees for ambiance and entertaining.)NOTE:1) Unwinding the copper wire in a consistent manner keeps wire from tangling.2) We doubled up the lights by back tracking, however, the little fairy lights are quite bright so we may wind them up the palms in a single strand next time assuming they unwind easily and can be stored and reused.3) The solar lights did not turn on with the panel facing up while the Christmas lights are on. The solar panels are impacted by other lights mimicking daylight. Either turn the panel upside down or turn off the Christmas lights or other lights. We opted for upside down solar panel so we can enjoy all the lights.4) There are different modes of twinkling or flashing and solid. We chose solid lights.5) We can see the lights from 2 blocks away or approx. 300-400 yards away. Impressive for tiny lights!6) After New Years I wound the solar fairy lights (4 strands) around a large empty plastic sparkling water bottle (photo). I used blue tape to keep the strands separate and in place once they are completely wound. This worked well for storage and for when I laid them out and wound them around the columns this year. We love these lights.

Good light quality
ABSOLUTELY Love these lights. They are solar and worked very well for our fire pit. They were long enough to go all the way up the poles and go into the ground for the solar party Highly recommend. There were a few different settings on them for the lights. it was one color but the lights were either 100% on all the time or you could dimmer them, shimmer, or flash.
