I bought this to anchor a large market umbrella with a pole 2 inches in diameter. The diameter was listed as 2.5 inches, with the sleeve wall .5 inches, and the first segment meets these measurements. But, it quickly decreases to a standard umbrella pole diameter. There is not enough depth at 2 inches to safely anchor the larger pole. Sadly I will have to return it, which is too bad. They are sturdy, would be easy to install, and I like the cap to cover the hole when the umbrella is stored for the winter.

Bought to flush mount in new concrete deck in pool area. Works great, comes with removable cover so when not in use, doesn't leave a hole in your deck. Mounted solidly in concrete

Seems pretty good for plastic.
They seem well designed and sturdy. I considered them for around the pool but worried about sun damage and will be going with brass instead. I'll use these in the planter bed behind the pool.Pics and update after install.
