If this is used for Chips and Salsa, would the white bowl leave a stain from the tomatoes used in the salsa?

Yes, unfortunately red food tends to stain plastics (some of my tupperware was also stained by tomato sauce). But! All you have to do is wash it right away (and if it doesn't go away, use baking soda to clean it - that worked perfect for me). So you can use salsa, just wash it ASAP
