Durable but susceptible to water & dust; compatible only with 300 MHZ systems
Recommend: YesWould I buy again? YesHow it works:There are 10 small dip switches on the circuit board. You toggle up or down to match the same dip sequence on the receiver. This is compatible with major door openers operating at 300 MHZ. This unit will not work with digital, rolling code, or openers operating above 300 MHZ.Kudos.Historically, Linear is known for making durable products that last a lifetime. This transmitter appears identical to the one we purchased in the 1980s that this purchase is replacing. Aesthetically, this transmitter looks like something made when we sent astronauts to the moon using slide rules and equipment designed by engineers who made things last a lifetime. Our last transmitter only stopped working after it ended up in the pool (sigh). Nice to see Linear still uses metal screws and durable plastic. Battery change is super easy as is programming. It’s got a terrific range too. When the range begins to suffer, it’s time to change the battery.Quibbles.Really bummed, though not surprised, to see that this device is now manufactured in China versus USA as it was decades ago. Sad to realize that those domestic jobs were lost, particularly considering how skilled they were at making things. This replacement looks and feels identical to the USA-built original – just hope the quality and longevity of this out-sourced replacement lives up to Linear’s reputation of lifetime durability. Next, this design is highly susceptible to water and dust. It does not like either, at all. In its day, this transmitter was Gee-Whiz small and mighty fine engineering. By current standards, it’s bulky and quaint. But you’re buying this because it’s easier and less expensive than upgrading your whole system. And from Linear, their products last a really, really long time. Fingers crossed this replacement transmitter lasts 25+ years.Suggestion:Call the customer service of your door opener to confirm that your unit is compatible at 300 MHZ. If not, then this transmitter will not work.No conflict of interest.I purchased this product for its intended use. My review reflects my personal experience with this product. Mini Multi-Cod
Good little remote, can be easily hidden in a car. Would like a more powerful antenna but it works.

Good function, not the smallest unit available
I used this for a while on my keychain, and it never had any issues. The only problem I had was that it's a bit big for a keychain, so I ended up later getting a smaller one.

works as expected
Programming was easy as long as your eyesight is good. The little knobs are TINY TINY. If you are copying from another larger remote - just be aware that the switch is not quite the same - the up/down is reversed. In the case of the minis, you push the switch so it is in the same position as it would be depressed on the larger version. You'll figure it out. If you get it wrong just flip them all and it should work if you have the 10 numbers correct.Since these are delicate, I also bought a 2-inch silicone band (like those charity bracelets people wear but smaller) and wrapped it around the outside as a bumper. That worked just fine.

Work great and programming is easy with the right tool :)
I have a garage with two separate doors with different codes. Configuration via dip switches is easy once you have a precision screwdriver :) Easier to program than the types that require pressing the operation button a certain number of times in succession :) Compact with decent range :)

works well / as expected
My boss has 2 gates and a lot of family members. These remotes are good but they eventually start acting up like anything and you have to replace years later. I normally would purchase these from his gate man but with a huge mark up. Once I learned how to program the remote - I looked to purchase them on my own and found a good deal on Amazon!! I would recommend these.

Really easy to program
Not the first time I've purchased this brand remote. Awesome quality.
