Manfrotto Compact Solid Aluminum Compact Quick Release Plate for Compact Action Tripod, Black (ROUND-PL)

This little doo-dad is essentially the whole tripod since it’s useless without it. So it makes sense that it’s so expensive, but that doesn’t stop it from feeling slightly scammy. The one I received was a perfect replica of the one that came with my tripod. I haven’t lost the original, I just wanted to be able to affix these to multiple devices for a quick swap in the field. Works great. Hurts the wallet. Recommended.

Fit perfectly! Yes it’s a bit expensive for a tiny piece but better than having to buy another tripod! Definitely made my day when I realized I could buy this piece alone.

It gets the job done, I haven’t had any kind of issue. I’ve had them for over a year and they’re working nicely, they hardly get loose and work as expected!

I just recently purchased the Manfrotto Compact Action Tripod and so far it’s my go to tripod. The only thing was it’s quick release plate only works with it’s tripod. So i went on my Amazon app and purchased another quick release plate. To me it was worth the price because I like the Action Tripod. To be safe I would recommend buying kore than one extra especially if you have more than one camera, go pro or cellphone that you use for photography or filming.

I have both Manfrotto designs, the regular mounting plate and this one. I don't see any benefit to this one and the cost of the replacements is higher than the normal mounting plate, so I recommend buying the tripod with mounting plate.

Lost the original, this works fine.

When I lost the original that came with the tripod, I tried the DIY version to try and save some money. The DIY version was shaky and I was afraid the camera would fall. Just buy the replacement. Don’t risk your camera on DIYing with nuts and screws.

My only complaint is that the tripod plate is small and easy to lose but this worked really work and fit my tripod immediately.
