Excellent Reading
I first read this book as a sixteen year-old boy, a family friend gave it to my parents, who never read it. I read anything as a kid, but I was a kid - it didn't take back then. Decades later, I came back to it after reading many of the modern books on the Law of Attraction and self-empowerment, but this book, for me, is the granddaddy of them all. Especially for those who might resent things like "The Secret" (which I liked) due to it's seeming lack of regard for God, feeling that because the others leave God out of the equation, that the words are somehow "flying in the face of God":The Secret of the Ages incorporates spirituality (the Bible), and helps us to understand that in Christianity at least, we were taught the "secret" by Jesus Himself. In other words, it corroborates the whole concept of the Law of Attraction relative to God and the incredible power that we, as part of His Creation, were given if, we could grasp the true meaning of faith. A difficult thing to do in the context of being part of a society that is, for a lack of a better term, judgmental. This was the book that Rhonda Byrne (The Secret) first read, which was given to her by her daughter. All of the modern-day motivational speakers and teachers make reference to many of the old books, but do not necessarily promote them, for obvious reasons.I highly recommend The Secret of the Ages for those who wish to tie spirituality in with the Law of Attraction, Robert Collier, had a way of making the reader feel how much he wants us to "get it", it is knowledge, enlightenment, and wisdom doled out as an impassioned plea for us to understand how truly gifted all of us really are, and if you let it all sink in, you will grow from the experience. And do not let the fact that it's nearly one-hundred years old dissuade you, because it is from another period, it's not as focused on just "getting a bunch of stuff", it's more than that, and it proves that though we've come a long way from a technological standpoint, we haven't grown much as humans in our quest for happiness and security. Read it, it's well worth the investment.

"Secret of the Ages"
This is one of the Greatest Books of all times. "Secret of the Ages"; A Must read for every individual who desires to understand the Natural Laws that govern their potential here on this earth; And how to apply them to eaisly receive everything in life that they truly desire. Would it be amazing if Robert Collier could see, the fantastic results these Laws, he submitted back in the 1920's, has brought about in todays world (2013).One of the very first books, on LOA, that I read way back in the early 1970's -- which led me into gaining my wildest dreams. I can Allude to the FACT that, IF you will properly practice them, You have the power within that will present your most desired dreams --- all you have to do is have enough faith to reach out and take them. The requirment is YOU have to make the decision to ACT.I have read Secret of the Ages over and over many times down through my lifetime, and each time; it becomes more and more powerful to me and my understanding keeps multiplying Xtimes over. Everytime I re-read it, My "batteries" become super-charged and thrusts me into new application and understanding. all I can say is: "Thankful to GOD (within), that attracted Robert Collier's presentation of Secret of the Ages into my Life"

Beware of poor production work on this particluar edition
First off, let me say the "content" of this book deserves a 5 star rating. I won't rate this aspect of the book since so many other reviewers have covered the content in such a fine way.It was very difficult for me to give this book anything less than 5 stars, but felt it necessary to warn others of the poor re-production of this particular edition. It is in Public Domain, therefore, any publisher can re-produce without paying royalties. It's a great price at $5.99, but in this instance I think you get what you pay for. The typesetting is probably 8-9 points (a good 1/3 smaller than standard) and the 'leading' (the space between the lines) is much too tight as well. For most people (even with excellent reading eyesight) this alone will eventually cause eyestrain. For those of us who already require a little help with reading glasses, it is quite difficult to read - for any length of time anyway. The focus and concentration required to read this edition takes away from its wonderful content.PS: While I fully embrace the wisdom of Robert collier, here's just a side-note about about what another reviewer mentioned as a warning regarding his philosophy on health and healing. He died of cancer at age 65. His belief, along with Mary Baker Eddy, that illness can not survive if you deny its existence (greatly simplified here) didn't work for him - and it didn't work for Wallace Wattles (another noteworthy writer from the New Thought Movement of the early 20th century who died an untimely death). perhaps this is because this basic belief fails to address what may have caused the disease in the first place. Therefore, denying only the disease, does not deny the possible wrong thinking that may have brought it about. In the case of disease, it may be better to focus on changing wrong thinking patterns, along with a focus on drawing the proper health care across your path (doctors, nutritionists, books, etc... all of which played a roll in eradicating cancer when I had it).Hope this review helps. Thanks for taking the time to read it.

Power to be what you want if you believe is yours
Reading this book delivers the magic wand that everybody wished to have when we read stories for children. I will write a few pages for my grand children to convince them of the incredible power they will get if they appropriate of its content!

Inspiration
There is no solid proof. It is a matter of belief. So believing is a choice and you can always choose based on what will make better to your life. But remember what you believe has more potential to come to be.

Powerful but not everything should be taken literally
I liked the book. Although, there is a lot of bias towards the Bible, the lessons are quite universal and generic. The book is thought-provoking and powerful. I think it can be recommended to a slightly mature audience.
